The environment at Kong Sihk Tong is described as "comfortable," making it a welcoming space for diners. One reviewer specifically mentioned and appreciated the "booth seating," which often provides a more private and cozy dining experience. This suggests that the restaurant aims to create a relaxed atmosphere where customers can enjoy their meals in comfort. The fact that it wasn't busy during an early Sunday dinner indicates that it might be a good option for those seeking a quieter dining experience during off-peak hours. However, another reviewer noted that it could get "a bit hectic" during the lunch rush, suggesting that the restaurant is popular and can get busy at peak times. Overall, Kong Sihk Tong seems to offer a pleasant and comfortable setting for enjoying their food.
In terms of services, Kong Sihk Tong primarily operates as a dine-in restaurant, providing attentive service to its customers. One reviewer specifically praised their waiter for being "attentive and so helpful," particularly when it came to ordering dishes without pork, indicating a willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions. The positive service experience contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of dining at Kong Sihk Tong. While the reviews do not explicitly mention takeout or delivery services, it is common for Chinese restaurants to offer these options. Local users interested in takeout or delivery should contact Kong Sihk Tong directly to inquire about the availability and details of these services.
A key feature of Kong Sihk Tong is its focus on providing "filling, delicious solid comfort food" at "reasonable prices," especially considering the location in Flushing, where rent can be high. This combination of quality and affordability makes it an attractive option for local diners looking for satisfying meals without breaking the bank. The positive repeat visits from reviewers, with consistent praise for the food, further underscore the restaurant's commitment to quality and taste.
Several specific dishes have been highlighted in the reviews, showcasing the variety and quality of Kong Sihk Tong's offerings. The "salted duck egg jumbo shrimp fried rice" received high praise, described as "perfection" with a crispy and flavorful profile and a good portion size. This dish seems to be a standout item and a must-try for those who enjoy well-executed fried rice dishes with a unique twist from the salted duck egg.
Another interesting dish mentioned is the "baked fried rice with chicken chop," which was described as "sweet, but still so yummy." This indicates a creative and perhaps slightly unconventional take on fried rice, with a sweetness that appeals to some palates. The inclusion of a chicken chop suggests a more substantial and hearty meal. This dish could be particularly appealing to those who enjoy a combination of savory and sweet flavors.
While most of the dishes received positive feedback, the "beef chow fun" was noted as needing "a lot more flavor," even after the addition of chili oil and soy sauce. However, the reviewer still found it "satisfying," suggesting that while it might not have been a standout dish, it was still an acceptable option. This kind of honest feedback is valuable for potential customers with specific preferences for noodle dishes.
The "HK-style milk tea" was described as "just okay," indicating that it might not be a highlight of the menu but still a decent beverage option. HK-style milk tea is a popular drink in Cantonese cuisine, known for its strong tea flavor and smooth, creamy texture. While it wasn't exceptional for this reviewer, it might still satisfy those looking for this classic drink.
The "beef brisket wonton noodle soup" was enthusiastically reviewed as "so flavorful," further highlighting the comforting and delicious nature of Kong Sihk Tong's food. Wonton noodle soup is a staple in Cantonese cuisine, and a flavorful broth with tender beef brisket and well-made wontons is a sign of a quality Cantonese restaurant. This dish appears to be another strong recommendation.
The consistently positive feedback across multiple visits from reviewers, with comments like "loved every dish" on a subsequent lunch visit, reinforces the reliability and quality of the food at Kong Sihk Tong. The "lovely experience" mentioned by one reviewer, combined with the reasonable pricing, makes it an attractive dining destination in Flushing.

The positive reviews highlight standout dishes such as the salted duck egg jumbo shrimp fried rice and the beef brisket wonton noodle soup, making them strong recommendations. Went for an early Sunday dinner. Not busy. Loved everything from the booth seating to the service to the food. The salted duck egg jumbo shrimp fried rice was perfection—crispy, flavorful, good portion size. The baked fried rice with chicken chop was sweet, but still so yummy. The beef chow fun could’ve done with a lot more flavor, even after adding chili oil and soy sauce, but it was still satisfying. The HK-style milk tea was just okay. Our waiter was attentive and so helpful when it came to ordering stuff without pork in it. Looking forward to going back and trying so many other wonderful looking dishes. So nice to find a comfortable place with reasonable prices that I can go to for filling, delicious solid comfort food. Update: Went back for lunch another day. Food was just as deliciously comforting as the first time. Loved every dish.
Lovely experience. Very reasonable pricing considering rent here. The beef brisket wonton noodle soup was so flavorful. Everything else we had was amazing. The service was also very amiable, but because we went during a lunch rush it was a bit hectic. However, would come back next time for sure!
One of my favorite restaurants in NY!! Been to this location multiple times, so glad they opened this location in Queens 🤩 Food always hits and the service is amazing. Highly recommend the baked rice, HK toasts, pasta carbonara and milk teas, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Also super cute decor and vibes, will def be coming back :))
Place was busy packed for brunch on a Saturday. But they handled it extremely well! The avocado and egg toast while good tasting. The avocado was more soupy than I'm used to. The highlight of the meal was the golden lava French toast. It was really good!!!!
Amazing food for a good price! The food does take a while to cook, but it’s so worth it! Not a big fan of the drinks, but everything else is amazing! Didn’t get to take a picture of the eggplant and rice dish, but that’s definitely my favorite with the calamari.
