About Kolah Farangi
Kolah Farangi is a restaurant located at 9180 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035, USA. They can be contacted at (310) 274-4007 or +1 310-274-4007.
According to one customer, Kolah Farangi offers a very good experience with amazing staff and waiters, big portions of food, and very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was also described as very pleasant.
However, recent feedback from a long-term customer of over 25 years indicates a significant decline in both the quality of food and the standard of service since the original owner handed over the business to his son. This customer, who used to order takeout multiple times a week, reports that the food quality has deteriorated, and the service has become unacceptable.
A specific incident described involved an employee aggressively mopping the floor over the customer's shoes, followed by a hostile and dismissive reaction from the owner's son when the issue was raised. This experience led the long-time customer to cease supporting the business due to the perceived disrespect and lack of customer appreciation.
In summary, Kolah Farangi has received contrasting reviews. While it was previously known for its friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, large portions, and reasonable prices, recent experiences suggest a significant downturn in food quality and customer service. Potential customers should be aware of these recent negative experiences when considering this establishment.

Had a very good experience all staff and waiters are amazing big portions of food best of all very reasonable prices atmosphere is very pleasant as well
Horrible decline in quality and service—never again! I’ve been a loyal customer of Kolah Farangi for over 25 years, ordering takeout multiple times a week. Unfortunately, ever since the original owner handed the business over to his son, the restaurant has gone downhill fast. The food quality has deteriorated, and the service has become outright unacceptable. The final straw came this past weekend when I went to the back of the restaurant to wash my hands. While I was washing up, an employee aggressively mopped the floor—right over my brand new white Saint Laurent shoes. Shocked, I immediately asked him to wait, yet he continued to mop over my shoes again. When I tried to address this with the owner’s son, expecting some basic decency, I was instead met with hostility. Rather than acknowledging the issue, he rudely told me not to speak to his employee and dismissed my concern with a careless “So what?” After years of patronage, I can no longer support a business that treats its customers with such disrespect. If you care about good service and basic customer appreciation, stay far away from this place.
Extremely horrible, and disgusting. The food was extremely bad, disgusting and horrible, and not to mention the service was very low, poor and bad. Me, my wife and my kids went there to spend some time as a family we ordered chicken kebabs and beef kabobs but every item we ordered was not fresh, very undercooked, smelly, and disgusting. I barely ask to talk to management, but at this time I had to do so, which at that point I learned that this place doesn’t have a manager; therefore the owner came over to our table. As the owner he should be friendly, welcoming and respectful. He should know how to handle the situation as a restaurant business owner, but instead he was extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and extremely obnoxious. Due to the lack of professionalism and uncleanliness of this restaurant, I will never go back there again. I’m very disappointed of this place, very disturbed, and bothered. Due to the poor service, quality, and conditions of this place, I will not be returning back or spending a single penny here again.
Love this place! The best kosher Chinese I have had in LA! They also have Persian food which I have tried. It is good however I love the Chinese food!
Ate there a couple nights ago and enjoyed the warm service of the restaurant staff. Very pleasant experience. The Tahdig did not taste very fresh and was dried out. The hummus and bread was not very good either. The sesame chicken was not bad.
