About Koi Palace Express

Situated within the bustling environment of San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Koi Palace Express serves as a branch of the well-known Koi Palace, aiming to provide travelers with a convenient option for Chinese cuisine. As part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Koi Palace Express is positioned to offer a quick and accessible dining solution for those passing through the airport, promising a variety of dishes to cater to different cravings.

According to one positive review, Koi Palace Express at SFO is described as a "fantastic choice" for those seeking "delicious food" within the airport. This reviewer highlights the "great variety of options" available on their menu, suggesting that travelers can find something to satisfy their culinary preferences, regardless of their specific cravings. This broad menu appeal is a significant advantage for an airport eatery catering to a diverse and often time-constrained customer base.

The same positive review specifically praises the quality and flavor of the food, stating that it is "truly amazing" with "rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced" flavors. A personal favorite mentioned is the shrimp fried rice, which is lauded as "absolutely delicious!" The reviewer elaborates on the dish, commending the perfectly cooked rice, the "juicy and flavorful" shrimp, and the overall "classic, comforting taste" expected from high-quality Chinese cuisine. This detailed praise for a specific dish can be particularly helpful for travelers looking for recommendations.

A key feature of Koi Palace Express at SFO is its "on-the-line choice menu," which is highlighted for making it "super easy to grab something quick without sacrificing quality." This format is particularly well-suited for airport environments where travelers often have limited time before their flights. The availability of various categories such as dim sum, noodles, chicken, and hearty rice dishes ensures that there are options for a wide range of tastes and preferences, all designed for quick service.

The positive reviewer concludes by strongly recommending Koi Palace Express to anyone "passing through SFO and want a meal that actually tastes great (not just airport food)." This emphasizes the perceived difference in quality between Koi Palace Express and typical airport dining options, positioning it as a worthwhile stop for travelers seeking a more satisfying meal.

However, it is crucial to consider a significantly contrasting negative review from another customer who had a very different experience. This reviewer stated that while their past experiences with other Koi Palace Express locations were not very good, this particular one inside San Francisco International Airport was "the worst." This strong negative assessment raises serious concerns about the consistency of quality across different Koi Palace Express outlets and specifically at the SFO location.

The negative reviewer expressed disappointment and questioned why the parent company, Koi Palace, would "allow such a lowest food quality fast-food restaurant to be part of its business or use the name Koi Palace." This suggests a significant discrepancy in standards and quality compared to the reputation of the main Koi Palace restaurant. The reviewer's past negative experiences with other Koi Palace Express locations further underscore potential issues with the express format.

The specific food experience of the negative reviewer at the SFO location was also unfavorable. They mentioned that the food they had tried before at other locations was "not good," and their recent experience at the airport location was even "worse!" This strongly negative sentiment led them to conclude, "I’m sure this is my last time eating at this Koi Palace Express," indicating a complete lack of satisfaction and no intention of returning.

Considering these contrasting reviews, the experience at Koi Palace Express in San Francisco International Airport appears to be highly variable. While one customer found it to be a fantastic choice with delicious food and a great variety, another described it as the worst Koi Palace Express they had tried, questioning the quality and the association with the reputable Koi Palace name. This discrepancy suggests that potential customers should approach with caution and perhaps consider the possibility of inconsistent food quality.

For travelers passing through SFO, Koi Palace Express offers the convenience of an on-the-line menu with a variety of Chinese dishes, including dim sum, noodles, chicken, and rice options. If you are looking for a quick meal that aims to be a step above typical airport fare, the positive review suggests that you might find some satisfying options, such as the praised shrimp fried rice. However, the strong negative feedback regarding overall food quality should also be taken into account. As there is no information provided about the environment or specific services beyond the on-the-line ordering, potential customers must primarily rely on these limited and conflicting reviews when making their decision. It might be prudent to assess the available options and perhaps observe the food and customer interactions before making a purchase at Koi Palace Express in SFO.

If you’re looking for delicious food at San Francisco Airport, Koi Palace is a fantastic choice! Their menu has a great variety of options, so no matter what you’re craving, you’ll find something that hits the spot. The food here is truly amazing. The flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. My personal favorite is the shrimp fried rice—it’s absolutely delicious! The rice is cooked just right, the shrimp are juicy and flavorful, and every bite is packed with that classic, comforting taste you’d expect from top-notch Chinese cuisine. One of the best things about Koi Palace is their on-the-line choice menu, making it super easy to grab something quick without sacrificing quality. Whether you’re in the mood for dim sum, noodles, chicken or a hearty rice dish, they have something for everyone. If you’re passing through SFO and want a meal that actually tastes great (not just airport food), Koi Palace is definitely worth a stop.

Most of the Koi Palace Express I have tried weren't very good, but this one inside San Francisco International Airport is the worst. I don't know why Koi Palace would allow such a lowest food quality fast-food restaurant to be part of its business or use the name Koi Palace. The food I tried before was not good. This time, it's worse! I’m sure this is my last time eating at this Koi Palace Express.

I have 3% battery charge remaining and I need to show the digital boarding pass to board my flight. But the food is so bad here that I am risking boarding the flight to just warn you all before eating here. Soggy, cold, over priced version of food. Better to stay hungry for 5 hours than eat this.

I visited Koi Palace at SFO before my connecting flight and had the wonton noodle soup. It was served steaming hot, with a light and satisfying broth, perfect for anyone craving a comforting noodle dish. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick. For Korean travelers missing warm, hearty soups, I highly recommend stopping by here before your next flight!

Avoid Koi Palace Express at SFO – Overpriced and Terrible Service Paid $25 for a meal and got only 3 tiny slices of beef in my Mongolian beef order. When I asked about it, the rude filipino staff said, “Manager only allows 3 slices of beef.” On top of that, when I asked for an extra spoon, she took one of our chopstick back and gave us a spoon, saying “One meal only gets one pair of utensil.” Ridiculous. Save your money and eat elsewhere!
