I ordered Grubhub and the food was spectacular! The pork fried rice was excellent and the amount was insane. The beef and broccoli was just as good. Everything was very hot(had to wait to eat it) when I received it. I would definitely recommend this place.

Before I start this review, I just want to say I’m not a disgruntled customer. But what I am is someone who paid $40 for takeout, and ended up making ramen noodles at home. I got the pad Thai and Penang curry. I’ve never had worse pad Thai… I can’t even explain the back flavor. The curry was okay, but also weird at the same time. Unfortunately I can’t say this was a fluke because I’ve ordered takeout at this place before, completely different dishes, and didn’t like it then either. It’s just… odd, and slightly gross? Definitely not for me. HOWEVER. The restaurant is always busy and the staff are nice, so don’t disregard this place just on my count.

Figured I'd check this place out due to my repeated night terrors related to Chinese food cravings. I sat in a booth but then was asked to stand up because I'm not supposed to seat myself. After I was seated in a different booth, I ordered the shrimp lo mein. While I was waiting for my main course, I was given a bowl of chip like items and a dish of orange sauce. I drank the sauce. Great beverage. The chips were crunchy and I love a great crunch, so I ate them all and chewed with my mouth closed. The lo mein was delicious, and the shrimp was excellent. I opted to eat with my hands after 4 bites and was noticed by an elderly couple who mumbled to themselves about my animal-like eating tendencies, as well as the fact that I had farted at least 9 times since being seated. I got a mushroom particle stuck in my teeth so I used a fork to dig it out. Great establishment!!

Was happy to find this place not far from our hotel on a Sunday night. Food was decent, nothing great but OK. For the Pittsburgh bowl they could do without kimchi for the kids but it seems they couldn't put the kimchi aside (which I still don't understand why.. 😀)

When we first walked in to Kiyoshi we were shocked how empty it was given the reviews. I understand why now, because the phone rang off the hook like crazy the whole time. Which means they're getting takeout orders now stop. It's clear this is a treasured eatery in the area and it's easy to see why. We have a favorite place closer to the Penn Hills area where we live that I compared Kiyoshi to and it was amazing to see how close they compared in quality with one exception. Kiyoshi had better sushi... Seriously AMAZING sushi. The quality of ingredients was clearly high end and fresh. The food also has a homemade taste, nothing seems cheap or out of a box/container, even if it in fact is. Their great service stood out even over the food. Our waitress smiled the entire time and was always there for refills and to clear plates and from the time we en If you're looking for a great place for Asian fare and are on the fence, check out Kiyoshi Bistro, you definitely won't regret it.
