About Kitchen Time
Kitchen Time is a Chinese restaurant located at 867 Flatbush Ave in the bustling neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York (NY 11226). Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Kitchen Time aims to provide local residents with a range of Chinese (American) dishes. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and decor are not available through the provided information, it can be generally assumed that Kitchen Time offers a casual dining environment typical of many local Chinese eateries.
In terms of services, Kitchen Time offers the convenience of accepting credit cards, a notable feature as mentioned by one reviewer who pointed out that some local competitors operate on a cash-only basis. This can be a significant advantage for customers who prefer to pay with credit or debit cards. The availability of other services such as dine-in, takeout, or delivery is not explicitly detailed in the reviews. However, given the nature of the restaurant and the mention of food orders, it is likely that Kitchen Time provides options for takeout, and potentially delivery, to cater to different customer preferences. To obtain the most accurate information regarding their service options, local users are encouraged to contact Kitchen Time directly at the provided phone numbers: (718) 469-0282 or +1 718-469-0282.
Based on the available customer reviews, the features of Kitchen Time present a mixed picture. One specific feature mentioned is the additional charge of $1.50 for brown rice, indicating that this healthier alternative to white rice comes at an extra cost. Another point raised by a reviewer is that customers need to specifically request any free condiments or items that may be offered for orders exceeding a certain amount, as these are not automatically provided. This suggests that while there might be some complimentary offerings, customers need to be proactive in inquiring about them.
However, the reviews also contain significant negative feedback regarding the quality of the food and service. One reviewer described the brown sauce, a common element in many Chinese (American) dishes, as "the worst I've ever tasted," criticizing its thick, flavorless, and gooey texture. Attempts to improve its taste with soy sauce and duck sauce were unsuccessful for this customer. This raises concerns about the quality of a staple sauce that is central to many dishes on a typical Chinese-American menu.
More गंभीरly, another customer shared a particularly alarming experience involving food safety and service issues. This review detailed an order that included ribs and General Tso's chicken. The reviewer stated that their ribs smelled "funny," with an excessive amount of ginger and garlic sauce potentially used to mask an odor of bad meat. This is a serious allegation that raises significant concerns about food quality and safety practices. Furthermore, the same reviewer reported finding a plastic twist tie in their brother's General Tso's chicken, indicating a lack of attention to detail during food preparation.
In addition to the food quality issues, this reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the provided condiments, stating that they received only four condiments that were not what they wanted or typically used. The order was also reported as having missing items. The delivery experience was described as negative, with the delivery person allegedly shouting about not receiving a tip despite the poor service and order inaccuracies. This paints a concerning picture of both the food quality and the overall customer service provided by Kitchen Time, at least in the experience of this particular reviewer.
Given these critical reviews, potential customers should approach Kitchen Time with caution. The negative feedback regarding food quality, including the possibility of spoiled meat and foreign objects in the food, along with complaints about service and missing items, are serious concerns. While one positive aspect mentioned was the acceptance of credit cards, the significant negative experiences reported by other customers cannot be ignored. Local users considering ordering from Kitchen Time may want to weigh these reviews carefully and perhaps consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Brooklyn area.
It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences at specific times and may not reflect the current state of the restaurant. However, they provide valuable insights into potential issues that some customers have encountered. Without more recent or positive feedback, it is challenging to provide a balanced introduction that highlights numerous positive features or promotions for Kitchen Time.
For local residents seeking a Chinese restaurant in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, it would be prudent to consider these reviews alongside any other information available, such as more recent online reviews or recommendations from neighbors. Directly contacting Kitchen Time to inquire about their current practices and food sourcing might also be a step some customers choose to take. However, based solely on the provided reviews, there are significant concerns regarding food quality and service consistency at this establishment.
In conclusion, Kitchen Time, located at 867 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY, is a Chinese restaurant that offers the convenience of credit card payments. However, customer reviews raise serious concerns about the quality of their food, with complaints ranging from poorly prepared sauces to potentially spoiled ingredients and foreign objects found in meals. There are also reports of issues with missing items and unprofessional delivery service. Potential customers should carefully consider these factors before deciding to patronize Kitchen Time and may want to explore alternative Chinese dining options in the vicinity.

Customer Reviews
Brown sauce is the expected staple of Chinese (American) dishes. This was the worst I've ever tasted - thick, flavorless, and gooey. Adding soy and duck sauce didn't help. They accept credit cards, whereas local competitors are cash only. Extra $1.50 for brown rice. Have to ask for the freebies when you order over the $ amount (they won't offer).
I use to like getting food from them but these last couple months has been horrible that I believe the health inspector should get involved. We order food from them one night I got the ribs n my bother the general tso chicken. My food smelled funny like it was drowned in ginger n garlic sauce to mask the odor of the meat and long behold the meat was bad. My bother began to eat his food, but within then next couple bites he found a plastic twist tie in his meal. Plus they only gave 4 condiments that was suppose to go with the meal but it was nun of what we wanted or liked to use. Plus we had missing orders as well n the man who delivered the food began shout no tip like I robbed him after there poor service. Worst Chinese restaurant ever!!!!
