About King's Wok

Welcome to King's Wok, a Chinese restaurant situated at 6500 Denton Hwy, Fort Worth, TX 76148, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, King's Wok aims to serve the Fort Worth community with a variety of Chinese culinary offerings. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and interior design are not provided in the available information, customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the quality of their food and service.

The services at King's Wok appear to include both dine-in and takeout options. One positive review mentions adding a "takeout order because the food was so good," indicating the availability and appeal of their takeout service. Customers can likely place orders for dining in or for taking away by calling them at (817) 788-8788 or +1 817-788-8788. The mention of a positive dine-in experience, coupled with the takeout order, suggests that King's Wok caters to both those looking to eat at the restaurant and those preferring to enjoy their meals elsewhere. However, further details about the dine-in environment are not available.

A significant feature highlighted in one of the customer reviews is the freshness of the food and the generous amount of vegetables in each entree. The reviewer specifically noted, "Food fresh! Couldn’t believe all the vegetables in each entree. Cooked fresh!" This suggests that King's Wok prioritizes using fresh ingredients and preparing meals to order, which can be a major draw for health-conscious consumers and those who appreciate vibrant flavors and textures in their Chinese dishes. The reviewer also praised the "Great prices," indicating that King's Wok may offer good value for the quality and quantity of food provided. The specific dishes mentioned, Garlic Chicken and Beef and Broccoli, were well-received by this customer.

Adding to the positive impression, the same reviewer offered a memorable statement: "Remember the place that shined the least having the best food and service. It’s here." This implies that King's Wok might be an unassuming establishment that surprises customers with the quality of its food and service, suggesting a focus on substance over perhaps elaborate decor or presentation.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge a starkly contrasting review. This customer described their experience negatively, stating that the food "tasted stale old, freezer burned." They further elaborated that "not even the rice was good" and criticized the meat in their dish as being mostly breading with "paper thin slices," making it difficult to identify. This reviewer concluded that the meal was "not good at all," expressing disappointment despite wanting to like the restaurant. This feedback raises significant concerns about food quality control and consistency at King's Wok.

Given these opposing viewpoints, it is challenging to definitively characterize the typical dining experience at King's Wok. The positive review emphasizes freshness, generous vegetables, good prices, and surprisingly excellent food and service from a seemingly modest place. In contrast, the negative review describes stale, poorly prepared food with issues in both the main dish and the rice. This discrepancy suggests that the quality of food and preparation might vary, or that different customers have had significantly different experiences.

Currently, there is no information available regarding specific promotions or special offers at King's Wok. To inquire about any discounts, lunch specials, or new menu items, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers: (817) 788-8788 or +1 817-788-8788. You could also inquire about their current menu and any daily specials they might be offering.

In conclusion, King's Wok on Denton Highway in Fort Worth, TX, is a Chinese restaurant that has elicited strong but contrasting reactions from its customers. One reviewer praised the fresh food, abundance of vegetables, great prices, and overall quality, even suggesting it's a hidden gem. Conversely, another customer reported a very negative experience with stale, poorly prepared food. For local users considering King's Wok, it is advisable to weigh these differing opinions. Those who value fresh ingredients and potentially affordable prices might be inclined to try it based on the positive feedback. However, the negative review serves as a cautionary note regarding potential inconsistencies in food quality. As there is no promotional information available, contacting the restaurant directly for current offerings and perhaps seeking more recent reviews from other sources might be beneficial before making a decision.

Food fresh! Couldn’t believe all the vegetables in each entree. Cooked fresh! Great prices! I had Garlic Chicken, my friend Beef and Broccoli. Added takeout order because the food was so good. Remember the place that shined the least having the best food and service. It’s here.

I generally get my order "to go". My favorites are the Udon noodles and fried rice. Yesterday I ordered Pad Thai. Never had a bad meal here. Service is friendly and the dining area is basic. I just started going here last month. I don't eat the furniture. Plan to work my way through their menu. Except for the Udon chicken and noodles. That will be a staple.

Yuck. I came for the almond chicken. The veggies weren't bad, but the meat was inedible. As you can see from the photos, it was mealy and crumbling. It had the oddest texture and was not recognizable as chicken. The almonds were not sliced or blanched, but whole and dumped on top as an afterthought. The fried rice was hard and dry and I was served ice water in a styrofoam to-go soup container. This had the distinction of being the worst meal I have ever been served in any restaurant, ever.

I ordered through door dash and they kept changing the delivery hour. 1 +hour to delivery some noodles.A cup of soup and shrimp with veggies.considering that I live 6 minutes from the restaurant it’s just bad they don’t deliver on time. Restaurant does deliver, no door dash… The food was ok, I liked the noodles but nothing spectacular. The soup is not good and the veggies tasted old but good amount of shrimp. The fried rice is brown. I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to look in some Chinese restaurants but this was not good. Price ok but I don’t think I will ever order from them again. Should have cancelled my order and just kept ordering from my favorite place in Fort Worth. Not worth the wait
