About King's Garden

Welcome to King's Garden, a Chinese restaurant located at 702 Wollard Blvd in Richmond, MO 64085, USA. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, King's Garden aims to serve the community with a variety of Chinese and Asian-inspired dishes. Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at King's Garden appear to be mixed, with some significant concerns raised regarding food safety and the overall dining environment.

The environment of King's Garden has been described by one reviewer as having the atmosphere of a "garage sale" and noted as not being very clean. This suggests that the ambiance may be casual and cluttered, and that cleanliness could be an area of concern for some patrons. While the review does not provide extensive details about the décor or layout, the description indicates a potentially unkempt and informal setting for those choosing to dine in. For customers who prioritize a clean and well-maintained environment, this feedback might be a significant factor to consider.

King's Garden likely offers both takeout and dine-in services, as is typical for many Chinese restaurants. However, the reviews do not explicitly detail the quality or efficiency of their takeout service. One reviewer mentioned eating at the restaurant and subsequently experiencing severe food poisoning, which raises concerns about food handling and preparation practices. Another reviewer, while noting the availability of the establishment as the only Asian cuisine option in Richmond, did not comment specifically on the service provided. Given the serious nature of the food poisoning claim, potential customers might want to exercise caution or seek more information about the restaurant's food safety standards.

Based on the limited recent feedback, the features of King's Garden are somewhat concerning. One customer reported a case of "full blown food poisoning" after consuming the General Tso's chicken, experiencing significant illness for days afterward. This is a serious issue that potential customers should be aware of. The same reviewer mentioned that the food tasted "ok" initially, but the subsequent illness overshadowed any positive aspects of the meal. Another reviewer described the food as "ok" but not exceptional, especially when compared to authentic Asian cuisine experienced elsewhere. This reviewer also expressed disappointment in the decline of the restaurant since the previous owner, whom they knew and respected. The only potentially positive aspect mentioned was the restaurant being the sole Asian cuisine establishment in Richmond, which might make it a default choice for locals despite its shortcomings.

The reviews do not highlight any specific dishes as being particularly outstanding, with one even being implicated in a severe case of food poisoning. The General Tso's chicken, in this instance, is a dish to be approached with caution based on the reported experience. While another reviewer found the food to be "ok," their comparison to authentic Thai cuisine suggests that the flavors might not meet the expectations of those familiar with genuine Asian cooking. The lack of positive feedback on specific menu items, coupled with the serious food safety concern, does not paint a favorable picture of the culinary features of King's Garden at this time.

Given the severity of the food poisoning report and the negative comments regarding the cleanliness and atmosphere, it is challenging to identify any positive features of King's Garden based solely on these recent reviews. The fact that it is the only Asian cuisine option in Richmond might be seen as a feature of convenience for locals, but the concerns raised about food safety and the dining environment are significant drawbacks. The comparison to a "garage sale" atmosphere and the lack of cleanliness further detract from any potential appeal. The reported decline in quality since the previous ownership is also a point of concern for those who may have had positive experiences in the past.

No promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. In light of the serious negative feedback, particularly the food poisoning incident, it is unlikely that the restaurant is actively promoting itself or receiving positive mentions that would include promotional details. Potential customers would be wise to consider the reported experiences before deciding to patronize King's Garden.

In conclusion, King's Garden in Richmond, MO, is a Chinese restaurant that has received concerning recent feedback. A serious case of food poisoning linked to the General Tso's chicken was reported by one customer, leading to significant illness. Another reviewer described the atmosphere as unclean and akin to a "garage sale," while finding the food only "ok" and noting a decline in quality since previous ownership. While it is the only Asian cuisine establishment in Richmond, the significant negative feedback regarding food safety and the dining environment should be a serious consideration for local users. No positive features or promotional information were highlighted in the provided reviews. Potential customers are advised to proceed with caution and consider these recent experiences before choosing to dine at or order from King's Garden.

I'm lucky to be alive today after eating here two days ago. Tasted ok but obvious full blown food poisoning. With my general tsaos chicken. First time eating here since moving to town and I definitely threw away my menu I grabbed for future reference. If only I had the nerve to call and ask for a refund. I am still not ok 🤢

The food is ok, the atmosphere is that of a garage sale, and not that clean. That said there is no other Asian cuisine establishment in Richmond. I lived in Thailand and know what Asian food should taste like. Also I knew and respected the previous owner and the restaurant has gone downhill.

The food was delicious! The hot and sour soup was good but much better the next day. Everything was nice and hot. There's not a lot of seating but the seating that was available was clean.

Food was not very good. The crab rangoon tasted strange. I thought it tasted like it had cheddar cheese in it my husband said it tasted like it had salmon in it. I know the cream cheese mixture was yellow. Wont go back.
