About King's Chinese Kitchen

King's Chinese Kitchen, located at 2270 A1 Hendersonville Rd in Arden, North Carolina, is a Chinese restaurant specializing primarily in takeout services for the local community. If you're in the Arden area and looking for a reliable spot to grab delicious Chinese food to enjoy at home, King's Chinese Kitchen is establishing itself as a go-to option based on recent customer feedback.

According to one customer's "really good discovery," King's Chinese Kitchen is predominantly a "total takeout spot." This implies that while there might be a limited space inside, it functions more as a waiting area or a "break room at work vibe" rather than a traditional dine-in restaurant. Therefore, if you're planning to enjoy your meal on-site in a comfortable setting, King's Chinese Kitchen may not be the ideal choice. However, its focus on takeout suggests efficiency and convenience for those looking to enjoy Chinese cuisine elsewhere.

Despite its primary focus on takeout, the service at King's Chinese Kitchen is reported to be "great." This indicates that the staff is likely friendly and efficient in taking orders and preparing them for customers. Quick and pleasant service is a significant advantage for a takeout-oriented establishment, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience when picking up your food.

The quality of the food is also a highlight, described as "solid" by a first-time reviewer who ordered the General Tso chicken combo with white rice and a spring roll, along with some steamed dumplings. The standout dish in this order was the General Tso chicken, which was deemed "excellent!" This positive feedback suggests that their rendition of this popular Chinese-American dish is a strong point and likely a favorite among customers. The steamed dumplings also received positive mention, noted for being "bigger than most places" the reviewer had gotten them at. Generous portion sizes can be a significant draw, offering good value for money.

The spring roll, on the other hand, was described as "okay, but nothing to write home about." This provides an honest assessment, indicating that while it's a satisfactory side, it might not be a standout item on the menu. This kind of balanced feedback helps potential customers manage their expectations across different dishes.

Another enthusiastic customer expressed that they "absolutely love King’s Kitchen," further solidifying its reputation as a favored local spot. For this customer, the "ONLY downfall" is the lack of delivery service through food service apps. In today's convenience-driven world, the absence of delivery options might be a drawback for some. However, this customer still highly recommends the restaurant, emphasizing the "large portions and reasonably priced" offerings. For families, such as their family of seven, King's Chinese Kitchen has become a "go-to" for Chinese food, indicating its ability to cater to larger orders while maintaining quality and affordability.

This reviewer also advises not to be deterred by the "small store front," suggesting that the unassuming exterior belies the quality of the food within. This is a crucial point for potential customers who might judge the restaurant based on its appearance alone. The recommendation to "Call your order in and it’ll be ready when you get there" highlights the efficient process for takeout, encouraging customers to plan ahead for a quick pickup.

In summary, King's Chinese Kitchen in Arden, NC, is primarily a takeout Chinese restaurant that has garnered positive reviews for its great service and solid food. The General Tso chicken is particularly praised, and the steamed dumplings are noted for their larger size. While the spring rolls might be average, the overall experience seems to be highly satisfactory, leading one customer to establish it as their "go-to" for Chinese takeout. The large portions and reasonable prices make it an attractive option, especially for families. The only mentioned downside is the lack of delivery through food service apps, suggesting that customers will need to call in their orders and pick them up. The small storefront should not deter potential customers from trying the "amazing food" that awaits inside.

For local users in Arden, NC, seeking a reliable and tasty Chinese takeout option, King's Chinese Kitchen at 2270 A1 Hendersonville Rd appears to be a strong contender. The positive feedback regarding the quality of specific dishes like the General Tso chicken and the generous portion sizes, coupled with great service, makes it a worthwhile choice. Remember that this is primarily a takeout establishment, so plan accordingly. Calling ahead to place your order is recommended for a seamless experience. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you; King's Chinese Kitchen seems to be a hidden gem for satisfying your Chinese food cravings in the Arden area.

Really good discovery. Total takeout spot, so don’t plan to sit and eat inside for more than a break room at work vibe. Great service, solid food. Had the General Tso chicken combo with white rice and a spring roll. Also got some steamed dumplings. The spring roll was okay, but nothing to write home about. The chicken was excellent! The dumplings were bigger than most places I’ve gotten them at. Overall, great experience and I’ve got a go-to Chinese takeout established!

Absolutely love king’s kitchen. The ONLY downfall is not being able to have it delivered through any of the food service apps. Large portions and reasonably priced. As a family of 7, this is one of our go-to’s for Chinese. Don’t let the small store front take away from the amazing food. Call your order in and it’ll be ready when you get there.

We just moved here 2 weeks ago. This is the first place we've tried Chinese food at. Man oh man it did not disappoint. We got the crab Rangoon, egg rolls, house Mei fun and sweet&sour chicken. It was sooo fresh and good. They were super nice too. Definitely will be back

Fast Friendly service, highly recommended by two locals, but not good enough for true foodies. Dish was very bland, minimal, low quality ingredients, virtually no flavor, and over-priced. Much better off with frozen $3 dish at grocery store.
