About King's Chef Chinese Food

King's Chef Chinese Food, located at 1660 E 63rd St #3502, Kansas City, MO 64110, USA, serves as a Chinese restaurant aiming to provide quick and convenient Asian cuisine to the local community. For orders or inquiries, they can be reached by phone at (816) 361-3355 or via mobile at +1 816-361-3355. Operating within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, King's Chef offers services and goods typical of a casual, often takeout-focused Chinese eatery.

The environment at King's Chef Chinese Food, based on the nature of the provided reviews, appears to be primarily geared towards a utilitarian, order-and-go experience rather than a sit-down dining atmosphere. While no direct descriptions of the interior are provided, the typical format of such establishments suggests a simple counter for ordering, perhaps a few tables for quick meals, and a focus on efficient food preparation for takeout and delivery. This type of environment prioritizes speed and convenience, catering to customers looking for a quick and easy meal solution. The presence of phone and mobile numbers primarily points to a strong emphasis on remote ordering, reinforcing the idea of a less formal, more functional setting.

Service at King's Chef Chinese Food has been a point of contention for some customers, specifically regarding transparency in pricing and willingness to rectify order issues. One review explicitly mentions a discrepancy in the quoted price versus the actual paid amount, stating, "I order my food and asked how much was told $9 & change and actually paid $11. Should have said $11 instead of $9." This indicates a potential lack of clarity or miscommunication regarding pricing, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction. Furthermore, a highly critical review states, "They would not make changes and replace order" after a complaint of "Food poising" (sic) regarding sour chicken. This suggests a significant issue with customer complaint resolution and a reluctance to address reported problems with food quality, which is a critical aspect of service. While specific details about the general demeanor of staff are not provided, these instances highlight areas where the service has fallen short for some patrons, particularly concerning honesty in pricing and responsiveness to serious food concerns.

The features of King's Chef Chinese Food are centered around its menu of classic Chinese dishes, with some items receiving mixed reactions. One specific dish, "Singapore Noodles," is highlighted as "one of the best things there," suggesting a notable positive item on their menu that has found favor with at least one customer. This indicates that despite overall mixed feedback, there are specific dishes that may be well-prepared and enjoyable. However, other dishes have not fared as well in customer reviews. The "Combination fried rice" was criticized for being "not great at all" and having "onions are diced too big." This detailed feedback points to issues with preparation and perhaps a lack of consistency in quality control for certain staple items. Furthermore, the mention of "Sour chicken" leading to "Food poising" (sic) is a very severe accusation regarding food safety and quality, which, if accurate, represents a critical deficiency in their culinary features. This significant negative feedback contrasts sharply with the praise for Singapore Noodles, indicating a high degree of variability in dish quality across the menu.

The overall assessment of King's Chef Chinese Food by one reviewer is "Not the best Chinese restaurant," which is a general summation of their less-than-satisfactory experience. This broad criticism, combined with specific issues like pricing discrepancies and food safety concerns, suggests that while the restaurant offers a range of Chinese options, the execution and consistency may not always meet customer expectations. The focus on convenience, typical of many smaller Chinese eateries, might sometimes come at the expense of meticulous preparation or robust customer service protocols for resolving issues.

Regarding promotional information, no explicit deals, discounts, or loyalty programs for King's Chef Chinese Food are mentioned in the provided customer reviews. The primary "promotional" aspect, if any, would be its menu offerings for takeout and delivery, catering to customers seeking convenience. However, the negative experiences related to pricing and food quality would likely counteract any implicit promotional value. In the absence of positive testimonials about value or special offers, the restaurant's ability to attract and retain customers would rely heavily on individual preferences for specific dishes and its location for quick access to Chinese cuisine. The emphasis on individual item names like "Singapore Noodles" suggests that some customers might frequent the establishment for particular favorites rather than a holistic positive dining experience.

In conclusion, King's Chef Chinese Food at 1660 E 63rd St #3502, Kansas City, MO, offers a menu of Chinese dishes, primarily catering to takeout and delivery. While specific items like Singapore Noodles might be well-received by some patrons, the overall customer experience is significantly impacted by concerns regarding pricing transparency, inconsistent food quality, and a reported reluctance to address serious food-related complaints. Prospective customers should be aware of these mixed reviews when considering King's Chef for their Chinese food needs.

THEY SPIT IN MY FOOD. I visited this establishment and asked about lo mein, when the associate dreadfully explained the ingredients I changed my mind. I then called in something different and told her I just left. I asked for shrimp only Singapore noodles as I don’t eat meat. When I got home the food had chicken steak and shrimp. I immediately called and told them I was unable to eat it, I was offered a refund. As I looked through the food to see if I could pick the meat out I found a big glob of liquid in the center, it was sticky to touch like saliva. When I retuned it and showed the man the picture of what I found his response was “ I don’t know I’ll give you full refund.” He also prepared it. Will be sending pictures to health department.
