About King Eggroll

King Eggroll is a Chinese restaurant located at 980 Lundy Ave in San Jose, California. Operating within the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, King Eggroll has established a strong reputation, particularly for its signature egg rolls and fried chicken. They can be contacted at (408) 729-8307 or +1 408-729-8307 for inquiries or to place orders.

As a Chinese restaurant in San Jose, King Eggroll has garnered significant praise from its customers, especially for the quality of specific items on their menu. One enthusiastic reviewer declared their egg rolls and fried chicken to be the "best," acknowledging that while they might not be the cheapest option, they are "certainly the tastiest." This suggests a focus on quality ingredients and preparation that justifies a slightly higher price point. This customer also highlighted the restaurant's capability to handle large orders, noting that their catering platters are "huge and delicious," making King Eggroll a great option for both small individual orders and larger gatherings.

Parking at King Eggroll seems to be a point of interest for regular customers. The reviewer mentioned that the parking lot directly in front of the store is often full, but there is usually ample parking available in the back row, which they prefer. However, they cautioned that customers picking up large catering orders should be prepared to make multiple trips to their car due to the volume of food. This indicates that King Eggroll is indeed a popular choice for large orders, further supporting their catering prowess.

Another long-time customer affirmed King Eggroll's success, stating that the restaurant is "thriving" and that their positive review is "long overdue," suggesting consistent satisfaction over an extended period.

This reviewer also provided a detailed breakdown of a recent order, which included a combo special featuring half fried rice, half chow mein, kung pao chicken, and salt and pepper chicken, along with individual orders of egg rolls, fried chicken, and a shrimp ball. The total for this substantial order was reasonably priced, indicating good value, especially considering the reported quality. The staff is described as "friendly," contributing to a positive customer experience.

An important practical note for customers is that King Eggroll has a "$10 min charge for credit card purchases," which might influence payment methods for smaller orders. The reviewer reiterated that the "egg rolls are still top tier" and reinforced the restaurant's suitability for catering and parties.

In terms of location preference, this customer mentioned that they prefer the Lundy Avenue location over the one on Story Road, suggesting that there might be multiple branches, and the Lundy Avenue location is favored, possibly due to parking or other factors.

Regarding the dining environment, the review clearly states that there is "very limited seating to dine in and eat inside." This indicates that King Eggroll primarily operates as a takeout and catering establishment, with only a small area available for customers who wish to eat on-site. Local users should be aware that a full dine-in experience might not be readily available.

Based on the provided reviews, the features of King Eggroll include their exceptionally well-regarded egg rolls and fried chicken, their ability to handle large catering orders with "huge and delicious" platters, friendly staff, and convenient parking in the back of the lot (despite the front being often full). Their combo specials offer a variety of dishes at a reasonable price, and they have a minimum charge for credit card transactions.

There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the reviews, such as ongoing discounts, special offers, or popular catering packages. To learn about any current promotions or catering menus, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers.

In conclusion, King Eggroll on Lundy Avenue in San Jose stands out as a Chinese restaurant renowned for its "top tier" egg rolls and delicious fried chicken. While not the cheapest option, the quality of these signature items and their catering services make them a popular choice for both individual meals and larger events. The staff is consistently described as friendly, enhancing the overall customer experience. However, potential customers should note the limited dine-in seating and the minimum credit card charge. For those in the San Jose area looking for exceptional egg rolls, tasty fried chicken, and reliable catering services, King Eggroll comes highly recommended. For more information on their menu, catering options, or any current promotions, they can be reached at (408) 729-8307.

Best egg rolls and fried chicken!!! Not the cheapest but certainly the tastiest. Not only is this place great for small orders, but their catering platters are huge and delicious. The parking lot is always full right in front of their store, but the back row has plenty of parking and that’s where I like to park. If you ordered lots of trays, then be prepared to make several trips to the car. Every time I go in for a few items, I end up leaving with trays of food for the family.

King Eggroll is thriving! I've coming here for a long time, so this review is long overdue. We ordered: 1 combo special $13.25, half fried rice, half chow mein, kung pao chicken, salt and pepper chicken 2 egg roll $1.90 ea 2 fried chicken $1.70 ea 1 shrimp ball $2.25 ea Staff is friendly. $10 min charge for credit card purchases. Egg rolls are still top tier. Great for catering and parties. Easy parking in the lot. I prefer the Lundy location over the Story one. Very limited seating to dine in and eat inside.

Honestly, each visit to this restaurant leaves me feeling increasingly disrespected, and now I am beginning to feel like I am being taken advantage of. The older Asian woman who works here is incredibly impolite! When I requested extra noodles for my dish, she yelled at me in response! All I want is to receive what I am paying for. It might be necessary to have the city inspect the cleanliness of their kitchen. Do you think this meal is truly worth $15.00

We came here just for the eggrolls. You can also order quick take out hot food. The eggrolls were large. Made from egg wrapping. I don’t know why I was expecting the Vietnamese rice paper egg roll. These were huge and had veggies inside, a little bit of minced pork. Taste like Panda Express egg rolls. Other than the size, it was fried perfectly but I wasn’t impress. It cost $1.95 each and lots of locals cater from here.

Egg rolls are not as good as they used to be. Fried chicken wings very greasy...basically their dim sum has really fell to a lower level...have been eating their dim sum for years and last two times there ended up tossing what we bought ..very sad
