Based on the limited customer feedback available, the environment of King Doh Restaurant appears to have some positive aspects. One customer who opted for takeout mentioned that "the dining room looked nice for an evening out." This suggests that King Doh may offer a pleasant ambiance for those choosing to dine in, potentially making it a suitable option for a casual evening meal. However, further details about the decor, seating arrangement, or overall atmosphere are not provided in the given reviews.

The services offered by King Doh Restaurant include both takeout and dine-in. One reviewer specifically mentioned getting takeout, indicating that this is a service they provide. The positive comment about the dining room suggests that they also accommodate customers who wish to eat at the restaurant. Information regarding delivery services is not available in the provided reviews, so it is advisable to contact King Doh directly to inquire about this option.

In terms of features, one customer highlighted "very friendly service," which is a significant positive aspect of the dining experience. This suggests that the staff at King Doh are welcoming and helpful to their customers. Additionally, the same reviewer praised the "delicious fried rice," indicating that this particular dish might be a standout item on their menu and a reason for customers to consider ordering from them.

However, another customer provided a considerably more negative review of their food experience. They ordered several items, including orange chicken, crab rangoons, and pan-fried dumplings, and found significant issues with multiple dishes. The pan-fried dumplings were described as "overcooked and tasted burnt," with a "dubious" meat filling, raising concerns about the quality and preparation of this appetizer. The orange chicken was also criticized for being "overcooked and tough to chew," and the reviewer felt that the portion size was less than expected for a "full order" at a Chinese restaurant. The accompanying "goopy sauce and vegetable mix" was deemed "not appetizing," further detracting from the dish.

Adding to the negative experience, this customer reported that King Doh would not allow a substitution of white rice for fried rice, which they found inflexible. The only item in their order that received a somewhat positive comment was the crab rangoons, which were described as "pretty good," though the reviewer added that these "seem hard to screw up." Overall, this customer's experience with the food was overwhelmingly negative, leading them to conclude that it was "bad and not worth the $42 dollars" spent, suggesting that the value for money was poor.

Given the contrasting reviews, it is difficult to pinpoint specific features that consistently satisfy customers beyond the reported friendly service and delicious fried rice mentioned by one reviewer. The other review raises serious concerns about the quality and preparation of several key dishes, as well as portion sizes and flexibility with substitutions.

There is no promotional information available in the provided customer reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any current specials, discounts, or other promotional offers that King Doh Restaurant might be running. To obtain information about any such offers, it would be necessary to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, King Doh Restaurant on Manchester Rd in St. Louis offers dine-in and takeout services and appears to have friendly staff and delicious fried rice, according to one customer. However, another recent review raises significant concerns about the quality of several dishes, including overcooked and burnt dumplings, tough orange chicken with unappetizing sauce, small portion sizes, and a lack of flexibility with substitutions. The dining room was described as "nice," suggesting a potentially pleasant ambiance. However, the stark contrast in food quality experiences makes it challenging to provide a definitive overall assessment based on these limited reviews. Potential local users may want to consider these mixed opinions and possibly seek more recent or additional reviews before deciding to patronize King Doh Restaurant. To inquire about their menu, services, and any potential promotions, contacting them directly is recommended.

The food tastes bad. Ordered orange chicken, crab rangoons, and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were overcooked and tasted burnt. The meat filling was dubious. The chicken was also overcooked and tough to chew. The amount given is less than you’d expect from a ‘full oder’ at a Chinese restaurant. The goopy sauce and vegetable mix was not appetizing. They would not let us substitute the white rice for fired rice. The goons were pretty good but those seem hard to screw up. Overall bad and not worth the $42 dollars. I could spend less somewhere else for more and better food.

My husband and I stopped here for a bite to eat while in St. Louis for the day. Food was cooked fresh, tasted delicious, and the portion sizes were perfect. The service was second to none; our water glasses stayed full and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and quick. Highly recommend!

The food is truly authentic and delicious! It’s the best American-style Chinese food I’ve had in the U.S. The Mongolian beef is definitely the star of the show! I also love their Korean menu—they offer the best zhajiang mein and seafood noodle soup in town!

Linda is the best waitress! They have the best Chinese food in all of St. Louis. I’ve lived here my whole life and have never had better food here. Get the crispy beef, the chicken fried rice, and king doh beef are our favorites.
