Welcome to King Buffet, a Chinese restaurant located at 15590 OH-170, East Liverpool, OH 43920, USA. Operating under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," King Buffet offers a buffet-style dining experience featuring a wide selection of Chinese cuisine, along with additional options like a Hibachi grill and sushi. They can be contacted at (330) 386-7888 or +1 330-386-7888 for inquiries.
Based on the available customer reviews, King Buffet presents a somewhat polarized experience for its patrons. One reviewer described it as having a "Typical Chinese buffet set up" but noted that "the food is actually pretty good, lots of choices." This positive feedback highlights the variety of dishes available at the buffet. The reviewer also specifically mentioned the presence of a Hibachi grill and some sushi options, which could be appealing features for customers looking for a broader range of Asian cuisine beyond traditional Chinese dishes. Furthermore, this reviewer found the staff to be "very attentive" and the prices to be "pretty reasonable considering todays food prices," suggesting a potentially positive dining experience in terms of service and value.
However, another recent review paints a significantly different picture. This customer stated that they "normally don’t leave low reviews, but this time I had to." Their experience with the regular buffet food was negative, describing it as "bland and cold." They also criticized the lo-mein, stating it "felt like just plain spaghetti and had no flavor." Additionally, their experience with the noodles from the Hibachi counter was unfavorable, as they were reported to be "undercooked and crunchy." Most concerningly, this reviewer claimed to have gotten "food poisoning" after dining at King Buffet, aligning with "a few other reviews" they had seen. Based on this experience, they strongly recommended against visiting the restaurant, deeming it "not worth it."
Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is evident that the dining experience at King Buffet can be inconsistent. While one customer enjoyed the variety, attentive staff, and reasonable prices, another reported issues with the quality and temperature of the food, as well as a serious health concern. This discrepancy suggests that potential customers should approach King Buffet with caution and consider the possibility of varying food quality and safety standards.
The environment of King Buffet is described by one reviewer as a "Typical Chinese buffet set up." This generally implies a large dining area with various stations housing different food items, allowing customers to serve themselves. The presence of a Hibachi grill suggests a designated area where food is cooked to order in front of the customers, offering a degree of freshness and entertainment. The inclusion of a sushi section indicates an attempt to cater to a broader range of tastes beyond traditional Chinese buffet fare.
The services offered at King Buffet primarily revolve around the buffet experience, including self-service from a variety of Chinese dishes, a Hibachi grill where customers can have items cooked to order, and a selection of sushi. One reviewer praised the staff as "very attentive," suggesting that despite the buffet format, the service provided by the staff in terms of attending to customer needs (such as drinks and table clearing) was satisfactory. However, the negative review does not comment on the staff, focusing instead on the food quality and the subsequent health issue.
Features of King Buffet include a wide selection of Chinese dishes typical of a buffet, the added attraction of a Hibachi grill for freshly cooked items, and the availability of some sushi options. The prices were noted as "pretty reasonable" by one reviewer, which could be a draw for budget-conscious diners. However, the potential for bland or cold food from the regular buffet and undercooked items from the Hibachi, as reported by another customer, are significant drawbacks to consider.
Promotional information is not provided in the given text. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or specific menu items at King Buffet are advised to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. Buffets often have daily specials or variations in their offerings, so inquiring about these might be beneficial. Additionally, it would be prudent to ask about their food safety practices and any measures they have in place to ensure the freshness and quality of their food, given the serious food poisoning claim in one of the reviews.
In conclusion, King Buffet in East Liverpool, Ohio, offers a typical Chinese buffet experience with a wide variety of dishes, including a Hibachi grill and sushi. While one customer reported a positive experience with good food, attentive staff, and reasonable prices, another had a severely negative experience with bland, cold, and undercooked food, ultimately claiming to have suffered food poisoning. This stark contrast in reviews suggests that the quality and safety of the food at King Buffet may be inconsistent. Local users considering dining here should weigh these differing perspectives carefully and might want to exercise caution. Contacting the restaurant directly for information on their current offerings and food safety protocols is recommended before visiting.
As a "Chinese Restaurant" operating as a buffet, King Buffet aims to provide a diverse range of options for diners seeking an all-you-can-eat experience. The inclusion of a Hibachi grill and sushi expands beyond the traditional Chinese buffet fare, potentially appealing to a wider audience. However, the significant concern raised about food poisoning in a recent review cannot be ignored and should be a major consideration for potential customers. While buffets can offer value and variety, maintaining food safety and quality across a large selection is crucial.
For local residents of East Liverpool, Ohio, looking for a Chinese buffet, King Buffet presents itself as an option with a seemingly broad menu. However, the conflicting reviews regarding food quality and safety are critical. The positive mention of attentive staff is a plus, but it is overshadowed by the serious allegation of food poisoning. Potential customers might want to look for more recent reviews from various sources to get a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of King Buffet.
In summary, King Buffet offers a typical Chinese buffet setup with additional Hibachi and sushi options in East Liverpool, Ohio. While one review praised the variety, service, and price, another reported significant issues with food quality, including blandness, improper temperature, and undercooking, culminating in a claim of food poisoning. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and exercise caution before deciding to dine at King Buffet. Direct inquiries to the restaurant about their food safety practices and current offerings are strongly recommended.

Typical Chinese buffet set up, but the food is actually pretty good, lots of choices. They have a Hibachi grill and some sushi options as well. Staff is very attentive. Prices are pretty reasonable considering todays food prices. Try it out.
So I normally don’t leave low reviews, but this time I had to. The food from the normal buffet was bland and cold. The lo-mein felt like just plain spaghetti and had no flavor. Then when I got the noodles from the hibachi counter, they were undercooked and crunchy. I would’ve given a higher score, but like a few other reviews I saw, I got food poisoning when I got home. I do not recommend coming here. It’s not worth it.
First of all I would like to say that the overall place was hell. When I walked in the amount of dirty people was insane. All of the food had at least something wrong with it. There was cross contamination in the hibachi bar, hair in the ice cream, the rice looked crazy yellow, plastic wrapper in the sugar donuts, and what looked to be some sort of blood from humans or meat in the desert tray. Other than that the food tastes unbearably sweet and if it wasn’t sweet it was dry with absolutely no flavor. Their “soft drinks” are not actually from a dispenser. They are from 2 liter bottles. Only drink water? Well you’re in luck because they ever so kindly drop fortunes in your drink. Apart from the food the service wasn’t too terrible except when you couldn’t understand the waitress when she talked. The waitress also came over and swept under the table almost hitting our feet in the middle of our meal. I mean I love their effort on keeping the place clean but please do it when we leave. As I was finishing my meal I had to use the restroom. Everything was fine there except for the hole in the wall underneath the paper towel dispenser with exposed wires. I guess it’s to shock you back to life after dying of aids from eating the food. To finish it all off I was walking and almost slipped due to the fact of the 4 foot circle of ice on the walkway. Not to mention the 1.5 foot ice cycles hanging from the roof that would definitely leave a mark if I fell down. Anyways I highly recommend this lovely establishment.
Food tastes like candy. Workers are rude. My friend left his hat and came back to get it and they had it on display for sale not even 5 minutes after he left. Greedy people. Not the first time I've seen them try to steal. The waitress stole $20 from me years ago. Never had good experiences here. Literally found a fortune in my drink before. A little slip of paper in my water. The steak from the hibachi tastes like bubble gum too.
Food was not bad. Everything seemed clean. Mr. Bean works there. So that's adds extra points. Chicken wings on the buffet were ok. Lo mein, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki chicken, frog legs, coconut shrimp and chicken were not bad. Egg rolls arent that great, Chinese donuts are only the finest biscuits and sugar. Hibachi is not bad either. Decent spot for quick cheap food.
