About King Buffet

King Buffet is a Chinese restaurant located at 221 N Broad St, Winder, GA 30680, USA. It operates as a buffet. They can be contacted at (770) 586-5088 or +1 770-586-5088.

One local resident who lives nearby and decided to try King Buffet after receiving a flyer reported a very negative experience. They visited with their daughter several minutes after the buffet's 11 AM start on a Wednesday and found that "other than the little salad station, there are nothing on the other station at all, only like one or two dishes on each of the other stations." They noted the absence of fried rice and observed a small amount of rice in the cooker, possibly leftover from Monday (as they are closed on Tuesdays). Although more food was brought out later, they found that "All the foods we ate are too salty, even green beans, and not tasty at all." They do not recommend this place but suggested that if one must go, to try arriving an hour after opening in hopes of more food, while still expecting it to be too salty and not tasty.

Another reviewer also had a severely negative experience, describing the "Food and service" as "very horrible." They reported witnessing "one of the cooks came in from outside from his vehicle and went in the kitchen and did not wash his hands." This customer was also "over charged for the buffet" and found the cashier "very rude" when trying to discuss quality and service. They stated they "will not return as a customer" and recommended driving elsewhere for quality Chinese food, adding that "The outside appearance matches the inside" and wishing they could rate it zero.

Based on these reviews, King Buffet in Winder, GA, appears to have significant issues with both the quality and availability of its food, as well as its service and hygiene practices. Customers have reported a lack of food shortly after opening, overly salty and tasteless dishes, a cook not washing hands after coming in from outside, being overcharged, and rude cashier service. Both reviewers strongly advise against visiting this establishment and recommend seeking Chinese food elsewhere. The overall impression is one of poor quality and service.

The environment seems to be poorly maintained, with the inside matching a negative outside appearance. Services include a buffet. Key features are not positive, with reports of limited food availability early after opening, very salty and tasteless food, potential hygiene issues (cook not washing hands), overcharging, and rude service. A flyer was mentioned as a means of promotion, but the content of the flyer and its effectiveness are not discussed. No other promotional information is available in the provided text; instead, there is a strong recommendation to avoid the restaurant.

We live about a mile away from King Buffet for about 4 years. Last week we got a flyer in our mailbox and decided to give it a try. Today (Wednesday) my daughter and I went in several minutes after the buffet starts (started at 11AM). Other than the little salad station, there are nothing on the other station at all, only like one or two dishes on each of the other stations. There's not even fried rice. I looked at the rice cooker and there's a little bit of rice at the bottom, maybe it was leftover from Monday (they don't open on Tuesday). We decided to put in our plate whatever are there. Later on, there's more foods brought out. We sample the majority of the food (other than the salad bar). All the foods we ate are too salty, even green beans, and not tasty at all. About 15 minutes later, another family of 3 came in (Caucasians), before that we were the only customers. Hope they are regulars so that they won't be upset for the lack of foods. I don't recommend this place. But if you must go, try to go like an hour after they open and hopefully there will be more foods brought out. But the foods still be too salty and not tasty.

Food and service we're very horrible, one of the cooks came in from outside from his vehicle and went in the kitchen and did not wash his hands. I was over charged for the buffet and when trying to speak to cashier regarding quality and service she was very rude, I will not return as a customer to this establishment. I would recommend you drive elsewhere if quality Chinese food is what you are seeking. The outside appearance matches the inside. If I could rate it a zero I would but that's not an option

Nice folks. Always been friendly to us. Good food good price. My family ordered $100 worth of food for New Year's Day and everything was good, as usual. Some of the dishes are a little different (more sweet than savory) than other Chinese restaurants but it's still good. The teriyaki chicken on a stick is the best we've had anywhere. The crab rangoon and buttered potatoes are delicious. Not really had anything that was not good!

I normally never write reviews, but baby, I ordered Shrimp and Broccoli. The shrimp was mini shrimp undercooked. The food was horrible, just horrible!!

The dining experience was unsatisfactory due to the cold food, limited buffet options, and lack of service. The booster seat was in an unhygienic condition. Overall, the establishment's standards are concerning, raising questions about its continued operation.
