About Kin Thai

Kin Thai is a restaurant located within the Lansing Shuffle food court at 325 Riverfront Dr, Lansing, MI 48912, USA. While no phone number is provided in the information, it operates within the Lansing Shuffle venue.

Based on customer reviews, Kin Thai offers a unique take on Thai cuisine. One customer who tried the Pad Thai found the flavor profile to be different from what they were accustomed to, noting it wasn't their preference. They also tried the Crab Rangoon Nachos, which they found okay but suggested needing more of the accompanying plum sauce to balance the creaminess and crab flavor. Ultimately, they did not finish the nachos and suggested that regular Crab Rangoon might be a better option.

In contrast, another customer who also had the Pad Thai found it to be notably spicier than other Thai places they've tried in Michigan. They described the flavor profile as interesting, almost citrusy, and recommended Kin Thai. This customer also expressed interest in returning to try other dishes on their menu.

The presentation of the food was noted as great by one reviewer, indicating an attention to visual appeal. However, the overall experience seems to be centered around the distinct and potentially unconventional flavor profiles of their dishes, particularly the Pad Thai and the Crab Rangoon Nachos.

If you are in the Lansing area and visiting the Lansing Shuffle, Kin Thai offers a Thai food option with some interesting and potentially spicy dishes. Be aware that the flavor profiles, particularly of the Pad Thai, might differ from traditional expectations. If you opt for the Crab Rangoon Nachos, consider asking for extra plum sauce to enhance the flavor balance. For those seeking a spicier Pad Thai with a unique twist, Kin Thai might be worth a try.

I definitely had high hopes. I was at the Lansing Shuffle for an event and tried the food at this restaurant in the food court. I wanted to love it. The presentation is great. But the Pad Thai wasn't great just a flavor profile I wasn't like any Pad Thai that I'm used to. Also, the Crab Rangoon Nachos were okay. But I think what is needed is more of the plum sauce or whatever that is which makes the dish so ask for extra. After a few bites it just got too creamy and crabby and needed that sauce to cut it. We ended up throwing them away. Regular Crab Rangoon would be better.

I had the Pad Thai and it was actually spicy compared to any place I’ve ever tried in Michigan. Very interesting flavor profile, almost citrusy, but I definitely recommend Kin Thai! I’ll probably stop by another time to try their other dishes as well.

I went here during lunchtime for a private room business event. I decided to get the crab meat Rangoon nachos since they were recommended in the reviews. Order, give them your phone number and they text you for pick up when it’s ready. The entree was prepared quickly and was enough for two people or more. It was delicious but had too much cream cheese for my liking. Competitive prices, clean and good service. I would return.

As someone who has worked in the food service industry for more than 10 years, I like to give people and restaurant the benefit of the doubt. However, the experience I've had tonight warranted a strong review. We ordered Pad Thai (chicken, no lime and no cabbage),Tom Yum Fried Rice and a Milk Tea. Only the pad Thai was delivered, it had no chicken (that cost $3 extra, bringing the total for ONE dish to $13) and still had the cabbage and lime. My food (the fried rice and milk tea) were not even in the bag when it was delivered. $42 dollars on a dinner that I didn't get to enjoy at all. I will NEVER order from here again.

We ordered Bang Bang-Kok Shrimp, Shrimp Pad Thai, and a couple teas. The shrimp are jumbo and SO good! The Bang Bang Shrimp was over-sauced, but I was able to just scrape some off. Not much spice to those, but great flavor and a good size portion for sharing. Fire spice level on the pad thai was actually painful and borderline inedible. They said it is a "4" on the spice scale...so I think maybe they meant 4 on a scale of 1-3! The flavors were good but it was too hot to fully enjoy! I'd definitely order it again but with less spice next time. Fair pricing, good service, and fantastic food!
