About Kim Wei Kitchens

Kim Wei Kitchens is a Chinese Restaurant located at 132 Tuckahoe Rd, Yonkers, NY 10710, USA. They can be contacted at (914) 969-6202 or +1 914-969-6202.

Based on recent customer reviews, Kim Wei Kitchens has faced significant criticism regarding its customer service and hygiene practices. One customer reported a "blatant, indifferent attitude toward customer service" when attempting to pay with a card for an order that did not meet the stated $20 minimum. Despite being a first-time customer and having an order total of $18.25, their request for a one-time exception was met with "cold, indifferent rude answers." The customer also noted the lack of clear communication about this policy when ordering by phone.

Another reviewer echoed the negative experience with etiquette and professionalism, describing it as being of "expired soy sauce quality at best," even though they found the food itself to be "not bad at all." This suggests a significant disconnect between the food quality and the service provided.

A particularly concerning review described an incident where a customer's husband witnessed an employee in the back kitchen resting his arms on the broccoli while using a phone. This was deemed "so unsanitary and nasty" that the customer stated they would not be returning.

Given these recent and serious negative reviews concerning customer service and food handling, local users in Yonkers, NY, should be aware of these issues when considering Kim Wei Kitchens. The provided information does not include any positive feedback regarding the environment, specific features, or promotional offers. Potential customers may want to weigh these negative experiences heavily in their decision-making process.

First and foremost this guys had the most blatant, indifferent attitude toward customer service. I walked in thinking I can pay with my card but I'm told there's a $20 minimum and if you can't meet this requirement: no food. My order total was 18.25 and I asked them nicely if they could just do a one-time exception since I didn't have enough for the $20 minimum. Seriously, a TWENTY dollar minimum? I had never been there before and it was my first time. I told them all of this and they gave me cold, indifferent rude answers. The lady then has the audacity to point to a piece of poorly written cardboard cutout that said "20 dollars minimum if paying with card". What's the point of that!? I ordered with them via phone. How the hell am I supposed to know they have this rule? First and last time I go to them. Such a shame. The food wasn't bad at all but their etiquette and professionalism was expired soy sauce quality at best

My husband went there to pick up 2 soups when my husband saw an employee in the back resting his arms on the broccoli while on his phone. That is so unsanitary and nasty, we will not be returning there ever again.

I gave them three opportunities. Yo know sometimes is a hit or miss they miss out three times as I order my food. The chicken wings platter are not tasty hard and dry wings. The wontons soup nasty hard not well cook. The lady has a a attitude. Treat customers as if they never seen you. I was even nice to ask her can she please make sure the wontons are well cook. I give them a 1 star just because I feel some other customers may like there food.

My reason for giving a one rating I walked into Kim Wei Kitchen, walked up to the counter and waited for the lady to assist me. When she finally came to the counter she asked can I help you. I stated that I wanted shrimp tempura and began to try and describe it. Saying it was fried with little seeds on it in a sauce. The lady said I don’t know what that is and proceeded to just turn around and walk away. Trying to get her attention I asked do you know what shrimp tempura is? She said no not even trying to help me at all. When I gathered she wasn’t going to help me, I tried to wave one of the cooks over. She turned to the cook, turned back to me and said he speaks no English. I’m so confused as to why I was treated with such blatant disrespect, what did I do? I just grabbed one of the menus and left. I’m NOT sure why this lady refused to assist me in any way in her place. I’m not sure why she treated me like that when all I wanted was to order some food. Why have a business if you are not willing to treat everyone fairly. Discrimination against anyone for any reason is mean, unfair and hurtful.

Tonight was the first time i went to this place. I arrived there just before closing and received service with a smile. Their hot and sour soup is excellent and very tasty. I also had roast pork with mixed vegetables. Very tasty with plenty of pork. Their fried dumplings were also very good. The food was fresh. I will be returning.
