About Kim's Cafe

For our local Singaporean users seeking Vietnamese cuisine, this introduction presents an overview of Kim's Cafe, located at 910 Louisiana St Suite M-105, Houston, TX 77002, USA. While not based in Singapore, the experiences of its customers can provide insights into what to look for in a local Vietnamese restaurant, often found within the diverse offerings of the Chinese Restaurant category here.

Kim's Cafe is described as a small place tucked away inside a tunnel. One repeat customer who initially tried the Vermicelli with Chicken for lunch found it to be good, with a great portion size and awesome char-grilled chicken, though they wished it was served in a bowl. This same customer later tried the Pho and expressed surprise at its quality, stating that the broth was as good as some other well-regarded pho places in Houston. They noted the flavorful, non-bland broth, well-cooked noodles, and a generous portion of various beef cuts that tasted fresh.

Another reviewer gave Kim's Cafe a 5-star rating for exceeding their expectations, suggesting a positive overall experience.

However, not all feedback was positive. One customer expressed thorough disappointment with their order of chicken fried rice and chicken soup. They described the fried rice as simply white rice with old, dry, unseasoned chicken on top, and the chicken soup as bland and tasteless. This negative experience led them to vow never to eat there again.

For our Singaporean users considering local Vietnamese restaurants, these mixed reviews for Kim's Cafe highlight the importance of potentially focusing on their specialty dishes, such as pho and vermicelli, which received positive mentions. When trying a new place, it might be wise to inquire about their popular or recommended items. The varying experiences also underscore the importance of reading multiple recent reviews to get a balanced perspective on a restaurant's offerings and consistency.

As Kim's Cafe is located in Houston, USA, no phone number was provided in the context. For those in Singapore, we recommend searching for local Vietnamese restaurants within the Chinese Restaurant category on local food platforms and considering the feedback patterns in their reviews.

5 stars for exceeding my expectations. This is my 2nd visit. Small place hidden inside the tunnel. The first time, I came here for lunch a few weeks ago and ordered the Vermicelli with Chicken. It was good. Portion was great and the char grilled chicken was awesome. Nothing bad to say about it except that I wish it would in a bowl. This my first time trying the Pho here and I am seriously surprised. I came in with low expectations but the broth is as good as some other places in Houston. Broth was flavorful and not bland. Noodles were not overcooked. I ordered the beef, and it came out to be a combination, like the dac biet at other restaurants. Good portion of different meats and it didn't taste old or rubbery. Overall, great lunch spot for Vietnamese food.

I am thoroughly disappointed. I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken soup. Do you see the pictures? I got white rice with some old and dried pieces of chicken thrown on top and it's not seasoned. The chicken soup is ugh, bland and tasteless. Never, not ever plan to eat here again. 👎

Ordered the shrimp pho for lunch, barely any noodles, and the taste was subpar. Also, the service was poor - the ladies at the front aren't very friendly nor super helpful. For someone who eats pho consistently, this place is a hard pass.

The pork spring rolls are great. The rest of the food is lacking. My fried rice was cold. It's a bit overpriced compared to other food in the tunnels.

Love this new place - a must try for lunch. I order the sesame chicken with fried rice, and it’s delicious. Fried rice has great flavor without being overly seasoned. Plus they throw in broccoli on the side that helps me feel like I’m making a healthy choice, too.
