About Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge
Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge, located at 1228 Vandercook Way in Longview, Washington, is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered positive feedback from recent customers, particularly for its food quality, service, and affordability. For local users in Longview seeking a satisfying Chinese meal in a welcoming environment, Kim Bowl appears to be a highly recommended option.
One enthusiastic reviewer began by simply stating "RECOMMENDED!" This immediate and strong endorsement sets a positive tone for their detailed feedback. They recounted a pleasant initial interaction with someone named Lee, who welcomed them and allowed them to choose their seating. This suggests a friendly and accommodating approach to customer service from the moment of arrival, contributing to a positive dining experience.
The reviewer then proceeded to describe several dishes they tried. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was highlighted for being both crispy and coated in a "delicious sauce." This combination of textures and flavors is a hallmark of a well-prepared Honey Walnut Shrimp dish and indicates attention to detail in the cooking process. The General Tso's chicken was described as a "must try," again emphasizing its crispy texture and "delectable sauce." The repetition of "crispy" suggests that achieving a good texture in fried dishes is a strength of Kim Bowl's kitchen.
However, not all dishes were equally favored by this reviewer. The Kung Pao chicken was described as "fresh, light and not really hitting it" for their personal taste, indicating that while the ingredients might have been of good quality, the flavor profile did not fully satisfy this particular diner. Similarly, the Mongolian Beef, typically a favorite, was deemed "good just not where the other dishes are at," suggesting that while acceptable, it did not reach the same level of excellence as the Honey Walnut Shrimp and General Tso's chicken.
The reviewer also mentioned a noodle dish that was quickly devoured by their companions, implying it was well-received and to their liking. Unfortunately, the specific name of the noodle dish was not recalled, but the positive reaction from others at the table suggests that Kim Bowl offers satisfying noodle options as well.
Another customer provided feedback emphasizing the restaurant as "a great affordable option for a quick meal." This highlights the value proposition of Kim Bowl, suggesting that it offers quality food at reasonable prices, which is an important consideration for many local diners. This reviewer also noted that "everything was fresh and hot" and that the food arrived "quickly," indicating efficiency in the kitchen and a commitment to serving freshly prepared meals promptly. The statement "You can’t beat the price these days" further reinforces the affordability aspect and suggests that Kim Bowl offers good value in the current economic climate. This customer concluded by stating, "We would go back for a quick lunch," indicating their satisfaction with the experience and their intention to return.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge appears to be welcoming, as evidenced by the friendly greeting and seating arrangement offered by Lee. The atmosphere seems conducive to a comfortable dining experience, although specific details about the décor or ambiance are not provided. The restaurant is described as a good option for a "quick meal," suggesting a casual and efficient setting that caters to those looking for a convenient dining experience.
The services offered by Kim Bowl include dine-in, as both reviewers ate at the restaurant. The quick food service mentioned by one customer indicates efficiency, which is a valuable aspect for those with limited time. While not explicitly stated, it is reasonable to assume that standard restaurant services such as ordering at the table and payment processing are available. There is no direct mention of takeout or delivery services in these reviews, so local users interested in these options might need to inquire with the restaurant directly.
Several features of Kim Bowl can be identified from the reviews. The standout dishes appear to be the Honey Walnut Shrimp and the General Tso's chicken, both praised for their crispy texture and delicious sauces. The affordability of the meals is also a significant feature, making it an accessible option for a wide range of customers. The freshness and hotness of the food upon serving indicate a commitment to quality preparation. The welcoming service, as highlighted by the interaction with Lee, contributes positively to the overall dining experience.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in knowing about any specials, lunch deals, or other promotions offered by Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge would need to check the restaurant’s website (if available), social media, or contact them directly via phone. Given the positive mention of affordability, it is possible that they offer competitive pricing or value-oriented meal options.
In conclusion, Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge in Longview, WA, seems to be a highly recommended Chinese restaurant offering delicious and affordable food in a welcoming environment. Standout dishes like the crispy Honey Walnut Shrimp and General Tso's chicken, along with fresh and hot meals served quickly, contribute to a positive dining experience. The friendly service further enhances its appeal. For local users seeking a reliable and satisfying Chinese meal without breaking the bank, Kim Bowl appears to be an excellent choice. While information on the full range of services (like takeout or delivery) and specific promotional offers is lacking, the strong positive feedback on the core aspects of food quality, service, and price makes Kim Bowl a compelling option for Chinese cuisine in the Longview area.

RECOMMENDED! Lee welcomed us and let us choose our seat. We got the menus then decided on food. First up Honey Walnut Shrimp was crispy while being covered in that delicious sauce. General Tso is a must try. Another amazingly crispy dish with a delectable sauce. Kung Pao was fresh, light and not really hitting it for me. Sadly Mongolian Beef was another favorite of mine that was good just not where the other dishes are at. Trying to remember the noodle dish. The others devoured it, so it was to their liking.
A great affordable option for a quick meal. Everything was fresh and hot. The food came quickly. You can’t beat the price these days. We would go back for a quick lunch.
Good food with great prices. Good drinks in the lounge.
We try to make it to Kim Bowl once a week. Food is always fresh and hot and the waitresses are very friendly. If you need a regular spot to visit that is consistent and delicious, give Kim Bowl a try!
Their food is always great with large portions and the service is quick and fairly pleasant. It's just too dark for me in the dining area, some may like the more dimly lit atmosphere and I can understand that it can be less offensive in the eyes but I do wish it were slightly brighter, at least in the main room. I definitely recommend Kim Bowl for the food and service though, especially when compared to the other choices in town. Here ya get what you seek and that's great food and generous portions that will fill ya up and leave you more for at home later. You get your money's worth for sure
