Customer reviews provide some insights into the dining experience at this Kay Kay Chinese Food location. One reviewer noted that the food was served piping hot but felt that something was missing in terms of flavor or preparation, specifically mentioning that the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice should have been fried. They also pointed out that while the atmosphere is chill, there is no option for indoor dining.

Another reviewer described the restaurant as family-owned and acknowledged that the food was tasty. However, they expressed concerns about the pricing, stating that $8 for a Combo A (a one-item combo) did not seem reasonable. This suggests that some customers may find the prices to be high relative to the portion sizes offered. The customer service was described as decent.

In summary, Kay Kay Chinese Food on S La Brea Ave offers hot food and a relaxed atmosphere, but potential customers should be aware that there is no indoor seating and some reviewers have raised concerns about the value for money.

The food was piping hot but something was missing. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice should be fried. The atmosphere here is chill but there isn’t any inside eating.

Family owned restaurant. Tasty food, but not for the price.…. 8 dollars for a Combo A (which is 1 item combo) doesn’t seem right. Customer Service was decent.

This place was horrible. The food isn't the best at all and neither are their portions. This is inflation and commercial at its finest. DO NOT pay the crazy prices here and go to another chinese joint where they actually season/cook their dam food. Hell yeh I'm upset. I went in to try this food place and a single plate was $9.48(or some change) throw in a single orange chicken and that comes out to $14....hell nah. You guys go get a better deal elsewhere and stop supporting these overpriced people. I'm not with this sugar coating b.s.

Shrimp fried rice deliciously cooked fresh the easy you like it. I also like the broccoli beef and sauce added with sauce over rice and noodles. The fried chicken pieces were meaty and a good finger food. Yum

I'm so sad because I want them to succeed. The staff was sweet but they can't have any inside seating due to too many people just camping in there. Food was better than any other Chinese food nearby. This was depressing.
