Customer Reviews
I loved the food. Took one bite of spring roll with garnish on top and dip. Delicious. My meal was Great as well. The decor was dark, but could use a few more details and touch of atmosphere to be cleaner. Staff you can tell is family owned so very kind.. The music was good.
Best meal I’ve had all year. Jaam Bong was perfectly spicy, and a very generous serving with plenty of all the seafood in it, enough to have calamari in every bite. Quality was outstanding, and the service was really great too. Tofu in both the entrees and as an appetizer was perfectly cooked. Spicy edamame was also great. Two of us had curries which were really well done and the presentation on them was really cool. Kimchi was not toned down and had the perfect spice and bite.
I do not understand how this place is so highly rated. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was the worst meal I’ve had in Denver in a while. Atmosphere: I liked the dark lighting but it was a little too bare bones and sad in terms of décor. Service: Very kind waiter, but seemed like they were doing it all by themselves. Food: Oh boy. The spicy edamame was A++++, and I liked the yuzu honey tea. Great yuzu flavor. After that, everything was rough. We got the avocado rolls (deeply bland but not appalling), Mapo Tofu (looked great but was way too sweet and the flavors were off in the sauce; beautiful silken tofu tho), and the Dandan Noodles with tofu (tofu was the best part; the sauce was too sweet and odd; no resemblance to Dandan noodles whatsoever). We didn’t keep our leftovers and I don’t think I’ve ever done that before because I hateeee wasting food. They got me though, because their pink neon sign outside was so cute it caught my eye. 🥲
Karma Asian: A Spicy Hidden Gem on South Broadway If you’re looking for one of the best hole-in-the-wall spots on South Broadway, Karma Asian is the place to be. I came here with a group of friends, and we all took the same bold plunge—we ordered the Jaam Bong. Now, let me set the stage: this was a table of very, very white men venturing into one of the spiciest dishes on the menu. Brave? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. Let me tell you about this bowl of fiery perfection. The Jaam Bong is a Korean-style spicy noodle soup loaded with tiger shrimp, scallop, calamari, and napa cabbage, all swimming in a rich, spicy garlic red chili broth. The combination of fresh seafood and that bold, flavorful soup is nothing short of amazing. Each bite has the perfect balance of heat and savory goodness that keeps you diving back in for more, even as you’re sweating bullets at the table. This dish is not for the faint of heart, but if you can handle the spice—or even if you’re willing to try—it’s an unforgettable experience. I find myself craving it now, long after the meal is over. Karma Asian is the kind of place that proves you don’t need a fancy setup to deliver bold, crave-worthy flavors. Whether you’re a spice enthusiast or just looking for a unique spot to share with friends, Karma Asian should absolutely be on your list. And if you dare to try the Jaam Bong, just make sure to bring a napkin for your sweat—it’s worth every fiery bite. Oh, and one last thing: believe me, it’s spicy coming out both ends, so be prepared.
My tofu panang curry was ok, nothing special about the sauce. My friends got the pineapple and mango ones and said they were too sweet. Singapore rice noodle was good.
