About Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant
Welcome to Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant, a local gem nestled at 18017 Gale Ave in the City of Industry, California. As a distinguished member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Kang Kang Shau May offers a diverse menu rooted in the rich culinary traditions of Northern China. This restaurant has garnered attention from local users for its particularly delicious signature dishes and a wide selection of food, drinks, and desserts.
Based on customer reviews, Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant has several standout items that are highly recommended. The beef rolls, in particular, have received exceptional praise, described as "to die for" and noted for their generous portion size and outstanding taste. These beef rolls appear to be a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. Another dish that has earned high marks is the pan-fried buns, lauded for being "cooked to perfection." These two items seem to be popular choices for takeout, indicating their consistent quality and appeal for those wanting to enjoy Kang Kang Shau May's flavors at home.
For those dining in, the little wontons in soup are also mentioned as being "amazing." This suggests that the restaurant offers comforting and flavorful soup options as well. Another highlight from the menu is the beef noodle soup, which one reviewer found to be a "large and satisfying" bowl, worth the wait, steaming hot, and delicious. Notably, the restaurant was also accommodating in modifying the beef noodle soup to be non-spicy, indicating a willingness to cater to individual preferences.
The menu at Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant is described as having a large selection, making it difficult for diners to choose due to the appealing nature of many items. This variety extends beyond main dishes to include drinks and desserts, offering a comprehensive dining experience. However, it's worth noting that some customers have observed that a portion of the menu consists of ready-made items served directly from heated trays. While this allows for quick service, one reviewer noted that the quality of these tray items was not the best in their opinion. In contrast, dishes like the beef noodle soup are prepared fresh and take a few minutes to come out of the kitchen, often resulting in higher satisfaction.
Regarding the environment of the restaurant, one customer mentioned that the dining area was quite warm due to the lack of air conditioning and reliance on fans. While this might be a concern for some during warmer days, the reviewer also stated that the deliciousness of the food more than compensated for this discomfort. This suggests that while the ambiance might have room for improvement in terms of temperature control, the quality of the cuisine remains the primary draw for patrons.
In terms of services, Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout options, catering to different preferences and needs. The positive comments about the beef rolls and pan-fried buns being taken to go indicate that their takeout service is efficient and maintains the quality of these popular items. The willingness to modify dishes, such as making the beef noodle soup non-spicy, suggests a degree of flexibility and customer service orientation.
While the reviews provide valuable insights into specific dishes and the overall experience, there is no explicit mention of ongoing promotional information. It would be beneficial for local users to contact the restaurant directly at (626) 435-3088 or +1 626-435-3088 to inquire about any current specials, lunch deals, or other promotions that might be available. Checking online platforms or social media, if available for the restaurant, could also provide information on deals or new menu additions.
In summary, Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant offers a taste of authentic Northern Chinese cuisine in the City of Industry. It stands out for its highly praised dishes such as the beef rolls, pan-fried buns, and beef noodle soup. While the dining environment might have some drawbacks, the quality and flavor of the food appear to be the main reasons why customers are impressed and satisfied. For local users seeking a restaurant with a diverse menu of Northern Chinese specialties, including both ready-made and freshly prepared options, Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant is worth a visit. Be sure to try their acclaimed beef rolls and consider inquiring about any daily specials or promotions to enhance your dining experience.
It's important for potential diners to be aware of the mixed feedback regarding the ready-made tray items. If you prefer dishes cooked to order, options like the beef noodle soup seem to be a safer bet based on the positive review. The large selection of food, drinks, and desserts ensures that there is likely something for everyone, but it might be wise to ask for recommendations on the freshest or most popular made-to-order items if you are unsure.
Overall, Kang Kang Shau May Restaurant presents a compelling option for those craving Northern Chinese flavors, particularly its well-received signature dishes. Despite some noted drawbacks regarding the dining environment and the quality of certain ready-made items, the positive experiences with dishes like the beef rolls and beef noodle soup suggest a kitchen capable of producing truly delicious food. Local residents in and around the City of Industry are encouraged to explore the menu and discover their own favorite dishes at this establishment.

Customer Reviews
The food here is amazing 🤤. First off their beef rolls are to die for. And they give you so many and they just taste the best! The pan fried buns🥟 are cooked to perfection as well. I got both of these items to go. Of course I had a little taste first teehee. I ate a bowl of their little wontons in the store🥣. Those were amazing also. The restaurant was hot af to sit in though. They don’t have the air conditioning on. Just the fans which don’t do much lol. But the food makes up for it. Everything is so delicious. They make the best food!!! I am so impressed.
I got myself one large and satisfying bowl of beef noodle soup. There is a large selection of food , drinks, and dessert at this restaurant. Hard to choose from the menu and all look good but later when I tried some the quality wasn’t amazing. The milk tea I really couldn’t finish it tasted like the cheap powdered mix in. Most their menu is ready made and is served directly from the heated trays. Other stuff from the menu takes a few minutes to come out of the kitchen. My beef noodle soup was worth the wait, delicious taste and steaming hot. They were able to modify and make it non-spicy. It was a treat! I wouldn’t have the bean sprout soup again however it didn’t taste fresh. Tray item quality also not the best imo.
Authentic Chinese/Taiwanese cuisine in the heart of the City of Industry. They have a good selection of precooked dishes which can be combined in various ways - $10 for three dishes plus rice and soup! You really can't go wrong with that. Lots of other items, including a wide selection of fruit drinks and *Traditional Taiwanese Shaved Ice*. Atmos is ok, and there's no table service. But that $10 deal puts all the fast food places to shame!
Had noodle soup, pan fried and steamed dumplings. The noodle soup stands out for me. Had some leftover and bring it home
The fast food restaurant we often come to has raised its prices. The 3-item plate combo, is a steal for $11.95 plus tax.
