Kampei

Kampei is a true gem! We went today for lunch and enjoyed a lovely meal. They offer green tea and refill whenever empty (very yummie). Our lunch specials were all awesome, great deals! The staff is extrem friendly and attentive. Cute place, it’s very cozy and clean. And the check comes with fortune comes which I love! Thank you guys

The food was pretty good. I just didn't like the mushrooms in my lo mein. The customer service was OK, definitely room for improvement there. Overall, it's a good place

Very good food, amazing staff and service. Ambience very good too. Must have Jackfruit Bao, Spinach Salad : very flavoursome. Mapa Tofu with Sticky rice were also nice.

This used to be one of our go tos. Last time we went the service was poor, waitress was impatient as I ordered for my two kids and me (snapping her fingers). Decided to give it another try. The restaurant was empty. The waitress was very impatient - left the table without taking all of our drink orders. As we were ordering our meal, she was visibly annoyed and half-way through stopped us and told us the kitchen was busy with takeout orders and we would be waiting long for our meals. While this may seem like a good heads up, combined with the visible disdain and impatience it was too much. We paid for our drinks and left.

Amazing food! Among all the takeout options in Stamford, Kampei stands out as one of the best, if not the best. I can't pick just one favorite dish because everything is consistently delicious, but I particularly love their Japanese bento boxes, sushi bar offerings, chow fun, and shredded duck. Whether you choose takeout or dine-in, the atmosphere and service are both excellent. Highly recommended!
