Kahula

First time dining here. There was a loud group walking in (to the bar) when we arrived. They probably didn't need another drink. Thankfully, the bar is through a separate door from the dining room, but we could still hear them. The place in general is well outdated (not unusual for many Chinese restaurants, sadly. There weren't many other people dining. Our server was cordial and very efficient, but she didn't seem to be happy to work there. The food was typical, middle of the road Chinese food. Prices were reasonable which helped. Probably better for takeout rather than dining in.

Kahula restaurant has been consistently delivering stellar Chinese food since I was born. I grew up eating there and loved it every single time. It’s such a treat. I can’t imagine how there could be mediocre ratings. It’s always been amazing. Thank you, kahula.

I ordered over $200 worth of food to go for my son's b-day party on New Year's Day. Everything was ready, exactly on the time requested. They even carried it out to my car for me. It was delicious, as usual! I've been a very happy customer for 50 years or so.

Called ahead to make sure they were open and the woman we spoke to was so sweet and friendly! She was a middle aged blonde, with great skin for her age. She let us sit wherever we wanted, with 3 rooms to choose from which was great because there were so many people in the lounge. We truly felt like VIPs! Then, our girl Maddy came over to serve us that Chinese tea that we love so much! She was so cold, but her attitude wasn’t (shivering - hey management - turn up the HEAT for our girl Maddy)! Next, we ordered the pupu platter for 2, with that fire in the middle, which our girl Maddy KNEW was gonna be in the middle. Then, one minute later, our pupu platter for 2 was delivered (great job kitchen!) our girl Maddy lit up the purple goo, and a great twist was that there was no grill on top which was so fun like camping! Our girl Maddy assured us that this was how they do it here at Kahulas - funky! We weren’t in the mood for shrimp today, so our girl Maddy kindly let us swap that out for more crab rangoons. We ate the whole thing - YUM YUM AND MORE YUM!!!!! Our girl Maddy was impressed. One of us went to the bathroom, and during that time our girl Maddy came over and we had a great conversation that we’ll remember forever. Unfortunately, our girl Maddy was still Cold. 7 star experience. Turn up the heat and turn down the lights! We will be back.

Attentive service, food was ready quickly and was excellent. The spicy fried rice with roast pork was fantastic.
