About Jumbo China Restaurant

Jumbo China Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 61 Glen Rd in Garner, North Carolina (NC 27529, USA). Serving the local community, Jumbo China Restaurant primarily offers takeout services, providing a convenient option for those looking to enjoy Chinese cuisine at home. While dine-in service may be available, one reviewer noted their experience was solely with takeout, so detailed information regarding the dine-in environment is limited based on the provided feedback.

Based on the available customer reviews, the experiences at Jumbo China Restaurant appear to be somewhat varied. One customer who ordered takeout reported a positive experience, highlighting the deliciousness of the food and the friendliness of the staff. This reviewer specifically enjoyed the chicken lo mein and fried dumplings, stating they savored every bite. They also noted a welcoming greeting upon entering the establishment and appreciated the quick preparation time of approximately 8-10 minutes, as well as the reasonable prices.

In contrast, another customer's experience was significantly less positive. This reviewer found the pork fried rice to be satisfactory but expressed strong dissatisfaction with the szechwan chicken, describing its flavor as being "way off" and tasting like it had been "tossed with some kind of ketchup sauce." This suggests potential inconsistencies in the preparation or quality of certain dishes. Furthermore, this reviewer raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant, specifically mentioning a "filthy" bathroom that appeared to have been neglected for several days. Consequently, this customer stated they would neither recommend nor revisit Jumbo China Restaurant.

Another observation from the customer who enjoyed their takeout order was that the interior of the restaurant appeared to be in need of updates. While this did not deter them from ordering and enjoying their meal, it is a point to consider for those who might be interested in dining in, should that be an option. This suggests that the focus of Jumbo China Restaurant might currently be more geared towards takeout service rather than the dine-in experience.

The positive aspects highlighted in the reviews include friendly staff and quick service for takeout orders. The welcoming greeting mentioned by one customer indicates a positive initial interaction. The efficient preparation time is also a notable advantage for those looking for a quick meal. Additionally, the reasonable prices mentioned suggest that Jumbo China Restaurant may offer a budget-friendly option for Chinese takeout in the Garner area.

However, the negative feedback regarding the quality of at least one dish (the szechwan chicken) and the serious concerns about the cleanliness of the bathroom are significant points that potential customers should be aware of. These contrasting experiences suggest that the quality and cleanliness at Jumbo China Restaurant might be inconsistent, or that different customers have varying standards and expectations.

For local users considering Jumbo China Restaurant, it's important to weigh these mixed reviews. If you are primarily looking for a quick and potentially affordable Chinese takeout option and are less concerned about the dine-in environment, the positive experience with the chicken lo mein and fried dumplings, coupled with the friendly service and speed, might be appealing. However, the reported issues with the szechwan chicken and the cleanliness of the facilities are factors that should not be overlooked.

As there is no information provided regarding any specific promotional offers or unique features of Jumbo China Restaurant, it is advisable to contact them directly at (919) 771-0333 or +1 919-771-0333 for any inquiries about their current menu, pricing, or any ongoing promotions. Given the limited and somewhat contradictory information available from online reviews, direct communication with the restaurant may provide a clearer understanding of their current offerings and standards.

In conclusion, Jumbo China Restaurant in Garner, NC, presents a mixed picture based on the limited available customer feedback. While some customers have enjoyed their takeout orders, citing delicious food, friendly staff, quick service, and good prices, others have raised concerns about food quality inconsistencies and the cleanliness of the premises. Local users may want to consider these points when deciding whether to order from or visit Jumbo China Restaurant. Further investigation or perhaps trying a few different dishes might be necessary to form a comprehensive opinion.

Pork fried rice was good, but the szechwan chicken tasted like it had been tossed with some kind of ketchup sauce. Flavors were way off. Bathroom was filthy and looked like it hadn't been attended to in days. Would not recommend nor revisit.

Food I ordered was delicious and staff was friendly. I ordered take out so not sure how it is to dine in. I thought the inside looked like it could use some updates, but don't let that steer you away. I got the chicken lo mein and fried dumplings and enjoying every bite. I was greeted with a smile and friendly hello right away when I walked through the door. The prices are great and it was ready in about 8-10 minutes.

I tried this place again since many others were closed Mondays in the area. I was yet again horribly disappointed. I should have known better really. The soup was slimey and tasteless, I asked for extra sauce and she read it back to me to only find it drier general Tso than ever before, the Mei fun at the bottom of the container tasted like too much corn starch or something was used and it tasted pasty. The other dishes were mediocre usuals. Don’t waste your time on this one. Yummi Japan in the same plaza is better, but different food. Go elsewhere! You’ve been warned.

I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special. The shards of fried chicken were all so small it was basically just fried batter bits. Didn't have the typical sesame chicken taste either. Definitely disappointed.
