About Jue Wei Kitchen
Welcome to Jue Wei Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant located at 818 E Valley Blvd in San Gabriel, California. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Jue Wei Kitchen appears to specialize in offering a variety of snacks, particularly those that are spicy and are suggested to pair well with beer. This establishment caters to local users looking for flavorful and potentially intense snack options.
Based on the limited customer reviews available, there are contrasting opinions and experiences regarding Jue Wei Kitchen. One long-term customer, who had been purchasing from the restaurant for two years, reported a "terrible and unbelievable" recent experience. This customer purchased chicken feet on a Saturday afternoon and refrigerated them. By Sunday night, they discovered mold on the product. This is a significant concern regarding food quality and freshness, suggesting potential issues with storage or the condition of the food being sold.
In contrast, another reviewer described Jue Wei Kitchen as a "great stop" for those who enjoy "really spicy snacks that pair well with a beer." This suggests that the restaurant offers a niche selection of snacks that are flavorful and have a notable level of spiciness, appealing to a specific segment of customers who appreciate this type of cuisine and pairing.
The available reviews provide limited information about the environment of Jue Wei Kitchen. The mention of stopping by to get snacks suggests that it might be a casual establishment, possibly geared towards quick purchases or takeout. There is no description of a dine-in area or the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Therefore, it is difficult to provide a detailed account of the environment based on the current information.
Similarly, the reviews do not offer much insight into the services provided by Jue Wei Kitchen beyond the sale of snacks. The mention of a customer purchasing items to take home implies that takeout service is available. The negative review regarding mold suggests that the point of sale includes over-the-counter transactions for items that are then taken off the premises. There is no information about dine-in service, delivery options, or any other specific services that Jue Wei Kitchen might offer.
The primary feature of Jue Wei Kitchen, based on the positive review, seems to be its selection of spicy snacks that are intended to complement beer. This suggests a focus on flavors that are bold and perhaps cater to a casual snacking occasion, possibly in a social setting where beer is also enjoyed. The specific types of spicy snacks available are not detailed, but the mention of chicken feet in the negative review indicates that the offerings might include various parts of poultry prepared in a spicy style, a common delicacy in some Chinese cuisines.
The significant issue raised in the negative review regarding the discovery of mold on a product purchased only the day before cannot be overlooked. This incident raises serious questions about the restaurant's food handling, storage practices, and quality control. For local users considering purchasing from Jue Wei Kitchen, this feedback should be taken into account, as it suggests a potential risk associated with the freshness and safety of their food items.
At this time, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or specials at Jue Wei Kitchen. Local users interested in learning more about their current menu, prices, or any ongoing promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly at (818) 233-1888 or +1 818-233-1888. It might also be helpful to check online review platforms for more recent feedback or any publicly advertised specials.
In conclusion, Jue Wei Kitchen in San Gabriel appears to be a Chinese restaurant specializing in spicy snacks that are suggested to pair well with beer. While one reviewer found it to be a great stop for such items, another long-term customer reported a disturbing experience with mold found on a product purchased recently. This contrasting feedback presents a mixed picture for local users. Those who enjoy spicy snacks might be intrigued by the offerings, but the serious concern raised about food quality and freshness should prompt caution. Potential customers may want to inquire about the preparation and storage of the snacks before making a purchase and consider recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective on the restaurant's current standards.
Given the limited and conflicting information, it is difficult to provide a strong recommendation. The positive aspect is the potential for unique and flavorful spicy snacks catering to a specific taste. However, the negative report of mold on a purchased item is a significant red flag that cannot be dismissed. Local users might want to exercise caution and perhaps start with a small purchase to assess the quality and freshness for themselves before becoming regular customers. It would also be wise to check for more recent reviews to see if the issues raised have been addressed or if similar problems have been reported by others.
Ultimately, the decision to try Jue Wei Kitchen will depend on an individual's risk tolerance and interest in the specific type of spicy snacks they offer. The positive review suggests a potentially enjoyable experience for those who appreciate this kind of food, but the negative review serves as a serious warning about potential food safety concerns. Further investigation through additional reviews or direct inquiry with the restaurant might be necessary for local users to make an informed decision.

I have purchased from this restaurant for two years year. However, my recent experience was terrible and unbelievable. I bought some chicken feet on Saturday afternoon and put them in refrigerator. On Sunday night, I found MOLD!!!
I always stop by this place to get snacks when I'm in town. This is a great stop if you can eat really spicy snacks that pair well with a beer!
For folks who love spicy food, I am talking about really spicy, this is a must go place . Better not park the street, they have parking in rear.
Get your duck feet here. Small shop with lots of variety. You might not understand all the food, bring a Chinese friend to explain the food here.
Not as spicy as I imagine
