About Ju Fu Restaurant
Located at 1045 Terra Nova Blvd in Pacifica, Ju Fu Restaurant has established itself as a beloved fixture within the local Chinese Restaurant scene. According to customer testimonials, Ju Fu is so well-known in Pacifica that a review might primarily serve those from outside the area. The consensus is clear: Ju Fu is a place to visit for reliably good Chinese American cuisine. It's important to note that the current operational model, as of recent feedback, is take-out only, with dine-in services expected to resume around September or October, according to the owner.
One enthusiastic reviewer, who has visited Ju Fu multiple times and sampled a wide array of dishes, emphasizes that while the cuisine leans towards typical Chinese American fare rather than strictly traditional or experimental, the execution of these familiar dishes is consistently exceptional. This customer could not recall a single disappointing item from their numerous visits and highlighted that many dishes were "truly great." For those seeking well-prepared versions of classic Chinese American food, Ju Fu is presented as a standout option – a reliable "neighborhood Chinese joint where you can't go wrong." The reviewer confidently suggests giving Ju Fu a try, predicting a return visit.
Another customer corroborated the positive sentiment, describing Ju Fu as "really legit Chinese!" They specifically mentioned trying the Mongolian chicken and shredded pork with tofu as part of their lunch specials. These lunch specials reportedly come with rice and hot and sour soup. While the reviewer found the main dishes to be "very good," they noted that the hot and sour soup could benefit from "a bit more vinegar," indicating a minor personal preference rather than a significant flaw. The fact that this customer was "glad" their wife discovered Ju Fu while using Yelp further underscores its positive reputation among diners.
Considering the environment of Ju Fu Restaurant, the current take-out only status temporarily limits the experience of the physical space. However, the enduring popularity and positive food reviews suggest that the focus is primarily on the quality and taste of the dishes. When dine-in service was available (and will be again), it's implied to be a comfortable and welcoming "neighborhood joint" – a place where locals feel at ease and can enjoy familiar flavors without pretense. The emphasis on well-executed, classic dishes suggests a functional and perhaps unassumingly pleasant dining area when it reopens for dine-in.
In terms of services, Ju Fu currently specializes in providing efficient take-out. The positive reviews highlight the speed and quality of the food preparation for off-site consumption. When dine-in service resumes, customers can likely expect the same level of care and attention that has contributed to the restaurant's strong local reputation. The friendly and welcoming nature implied by the "neighborhood joint" description suggests that service, whether for dine-in or take-out, is likely to be a positive aspect of the Ju Fu experience.
A key feature of Ju Fu Restaurant is its dedication to preparing well-loved Chinese American dishes to a high standard. The consistent positive feedback across multiple visits and reviewers indicates a commitment to quality and flavor. The mention of specific dishes like Mongolian chicken and shredded pork with tofu, especially within the context of "lunch specials," suggests that Ju Fu offers value-oriented options during the daytime. The inclusion of rice and hot and sour soup with these specials further enhances their appeal as a complete and satisfying meal.
The fact that a long-time customer has tried "many things on the menu" without encountering a bad dish speaks volumes about the overall consistency and quality control at Ju Fu. While the menu might not venture into highly traditional or experimental territory, it excels in delivering familiar favorites that are "done exceptionally well." This reliability is a significant draw for regular customers and a strong selling point for newcomers seeking dependable Chinese American cuisine.
Promotional information is somewhat limited in the provided text. The mention of "lunch specials" implies that Ju Fu offers discounted or value-added meals during lunchtime, such as the Mongolian chicken and shredded pork with tofu combinations that include rice and soup. However, specific details about these specials, their pricing, or any other ongoing promotions are not provided. Local users are encouraged to contact Ju Fu directly at (650) 359-0777 or +1 650-359-0777 to inquire about their current lunch specials or any other promotional offers that might be available, especially as the resumption of dine-in service approaches.
For local users in Pacifica and those in the surrounding areas, Ju Fu Restaurant offers a reliable and highly recommended option for well-executed Chinese American cuisine. While currently operating as take-out only, its strong local reputation and consistent positive feedback on food quality make it a worthwhile choice for a satisfying meal at home. The anticipation of the return of dine-in service around September or October will further enhance its appeal as a neighborhood gathering spot. Whether you're craving familiar favorites or looking for a dependable Chinese American meal, Ju Fu Restaurant appears to be a solid choice that lives up to its local acclaim.

I feel like everyone in Pacifica must know of this place so this review is mostly for the out of towner. Go here. Keep in mind that it is typical Chinese American cuisine and you will not find anything truly traditional or experimental here but what you will find is many go to dishes done exceptionally well. I've been here four or five times now and have tried many things on the menu. Too many to specifically review right now but I cannot remember having something that was not good and many were truly great. Once again, for this type of cuisine it is stand out. It's not Eight Tables, it's a neighborhood Chinese joint where you can't go wrong. Give it a shot and you will come back.
Really legit Chinese! Had Mongolian chicken and shredded pork with tofu lunch specials. Comes with rice and hot and sour soup (which needs a bit more vinegar). The mains were very good. Glad my wife found this place while Yelping! Only take out until September or October according to the owner.
Edit: Went back, same day, same time, same order. Price was now around $17.50. Now it’s not really worth it. Still delicious but next time I’d skip the rice order since that costs pennies to make at home. Paid $16 for orange chicken and rice to go ($12+$3+tax) which I thought was high at first, but the portions made it fair. I was hungry, but only ate half so it would be enough for two people. The orange chicken was still crispy despite the ample sauce. No broccoli (which often makes orange chicken soggy when included) so that was a plus. Only complaint would be that I would have liked more kick to the sauce. Staff were nice. Would definitely go back.
5 stars! The Ju Fu is such a lovely and welcoming Chinese. Although the outside doesn’t look appealing the staff are very welcoming and polite and the food menu isn’t limited which is good. The portion size is good and the prices is very reasonable. It is good to see that the restaurant is always busy and I hope the business stays open for the foreseeable! See you soon Ju Fu 👍🏻
Just found this place. Fast and delicious food, and friendly too. Great spring rolls and chow mein, phenomenal plant based vegetarian sweet and sour "chicken" (soy bean). Could not find a menu anywhere online when I was trying to order for the first time, so I thought I should post some photos to help others, as currently it is pick up and take out only.
