Speaking from a person born and raised in Hong Kong. This restaurant cooks authentic Chinese food, especially cantonese (or southern part china). I tried many dishes, all taste really good. Now when I crave for Chinese food, no need to go to Toronto.
Great local spot. General Tso's was very flavorful, tender, and spice level was perfect for me. Cream cheese wonton were also very flavorful. Portions are great. Prices are great. I felt great after the meal, definitely can't say that about a lot of other places.
Just went back, and discovered they are under new management. JJ Panda is now a Cantonese Restaurant. It's really good. I actually got real Cantonese Pan Fried Noodles. It was amazing!!! Now I can get real Cantonese food closer to home. Yay!! Ordered sweet and sour chicken, tofu with mixed vegetables, and steam buns. All were very tasty and they gave you a lot.
I ordered dinner from this new Asian restaurant. I felt happy with the selection of foods on the menu. The cook very quickly made the food. My husband and I really enjoyed the cream cheese wontons, chicken on sticks, chicken with broccoli, and chicken lo mein. We thought that the General Tso’s chicken was slightly tough and that it tasted mildly spicy rather than medium spicy. I welcome this restaurant to the neighborhood, and I look forward to trying more of their foods in the future.
I was hopeful about this place, and tried it this past Saturday based on the positive reviews. The Delivery: Was quoted as 30 minutes when I ordered but took about an hour. (Note: I’m in Ross and they are 7 minutes away from me.) If I had known it would be fulfilled by DoorDash, I never would have ordered from here. The Food: Both the sweet and sour chicken and the lemon chicken came with the sauce already on them. As a result, they were drowning and soggy and both sauces were nauseatingly sweet. The lemon chicken was the same chunks as the sweet and sour, rather than the cutlets I’m used to. I’ve never seen these dishes served this way. The beef lo mein was slimy had an awful fishy smell. Thrown away after one bite. The chicken fried rice was so dry it was hard to swallow and tasted stale. The only edible things I got were the fried dumplings. The Verdict: Spent $86 including tip on food that I mostly threw away. Blamed myself for being lazy and not driving to pick up from Golden Dragon in Sharpsburg. Sadly they don’t deliver here. It’s possible that they are good if you are looking for authentic Cantonese specialties, although I’m completely guessing and offering a benefit of the doubt here. But if that’s the case, just remove the items that I ordered from the menu, because they are uniformly terrible.
