About Jinye Cafe
Jinye Cafe is a Chinese restaurant located at 694 Hancock St #A, Quincy, MA 02170, USA. You can contact them at (617) 481-6988 or +1 617-481-6988.
Based on recent customer reviews, Jinye Cafe offers Hong Kong-style dishes with generous portion sizes. Some customers have noted that the portion for each dish can be quite large, potentially enough for two meals, and some meals may include a complimentary hot milk tea.
However, customer feedback on the overall food quality has been mixed. While some dishes are described as authentic Hong Kong style, some reviewers found the taste to be below expectations. One particular dish, salt and pepper pork chops, received positive feedback. On the other hand, some customers expressed dissatisfaction with the inclusion of napa cabbage in several dishes, citing its texture and flavor as not complementing the other ingredients well. The fried rice was also described as bland by one reviewer.
The drink quality has also been a point of concern for some customers. One reviewer specifically mentioned a negative experience with a Hong Kong-style red bean ice drink, describing it as poorly made. The service experience described in this review was also negative, with a complaint about the drink not being handled to the customer's satisfaction and perceived pressure to vacate the table quickly.
Another review highlighted the large portions but also mentioned a lack of impressiveness in the overall food quality, suggesting that while the dishes might be authentic, they may not be the best rendition of Hong Kong-style cuisine.
Potential customers looking for a Chinese restaurant in Quincy offering large portions of Hong Kong-style food may consider Jinye Cafe. However, it's advisable to be aware of the mixed reviews regarding food and drink quality and service.

Customer Reviews
Food is below average, drink is ridiculous bad, asked for 紅豆冰 a very popular hongkong drink, it’s definitely not the way it should be (see pic). I told the boss lady drink is so blend and no favor, she grabbed my drink went into the kitchen and added 2 teaspoons of sugar and handed back to me. I told her I don’t want it anymore, she told me try it again first and refused to let me send it back. Obviously service is not okay at all, I was by myself trying to finish my lunch quick so I could free up a table for them, 2 mins later a party of 4 walks in and waiting for my table, they handed me the bill instantly. Key point is don’t order their drinks if you want to drink something looks exactly like sewerage water.
Took a visit last week to try one of the highly-praised Hong Kong style dishes in Quincy. We shared 4 menus which came in staggering portions. The portion for each dish was almost equivalent to 2 meals, and we also got a free hot milk tea. However, we weren’t very impressed with the overall quality of the food. While these may be authentic Hong Kong style dishes, they certainly weren’t the best I’ve tried. Only menu that I liked was the salt and pepper pork chops. I didn’t like how they put napa cabbage in a lot of the dishes. The slimy texture of the cabbage and its flavor weren’t very good combinations with the rice and the meats. Although I grew up eating a lot of cabbage, this certainly didn’t seem like the best way to integrate greens into the dishes. The fried rice was also bland, and we ended up leaving most of it.
Hong Kong (or Cantonese) style cafe serving all kinds of food. I highly recommend the chicken. Many people just order chicken to-go. Milk tea is not bad as well. Also try different kinds of stir fry dishes, fry rice and fry udon.
Great food, but what happened to the restaurants in Quincy? This is the third Chinese place we been to recently in Quincy that’s smaller than a NYC studio. It literally has 3-4 tables only. Great food, but no large party, and prepare to wait if you want to eat there vs takeout.
Call in take out Sold us overnight old chicken which taste badly sour, soy sauce chicken and concubine Chicken. The owner reject to full refund with bad attitude. After argument, I got half refund of half chicken, which is different from what I promise over the phone call that said full refund. Very disappointed !
