About Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet

Welcome to Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet, a Chinese restaurant located at 3334 Victor Ct, Santa Clara, CA 95054, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Jing Jing aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the local community. They can be contacted at (650) 328-6885 or via mobile at +1 650-328-6885 for inquiries or to place an order.

Recent customer feedback regarding Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet in Santa Clara is limited to a single, detailed review which expresses significant dissatisfaction with a delivery experience. This customer ordered food through DoorDash and specifically requested a text notification upon arrival. However, they reported finding their order "stuffed next to the exit door," a location described as being near webs and accessible to anyone, raising concerns about the security and handling of their delivery. The reviewer also expressed disappointment with the food itself, stating it was "not that great" and "definitely not worth the $39.20 I paid to have it delivered." They explicitly gave the delivery driver a rating of "any stars at all," implying a severely negative delivery experience, though the issues with the driver's service are not detailed further.

Regarding the food items ordered, the customer mentioned walnut prawns and egg rolls. A notable discrepancy was that the walnuts in the prawn dish were actually pecans, which the reviewer stated they did not mind personally. However, they found the sauce accompanying the prawns to taste like "mayonnaise mixed with honey," which was clearly not to their liking. The reviewer's strong regret about the overall experience was compounded by not having taken a picture of where the food was left upon delivery, suggesting the delivery location was particularly problematic. The overall tone of the review indicates a high level of dissatisfaction with both the food quality and the delivery service associated with Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet through DoorDash.

Based on this single review, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet. However, the feedback highlights potential issues with the accuracy of menu descriptions (walnuts being pecans), the quality and taste of certain dishes (walnut prawns with a honey mayonnaise-like sauce), and the reliability of the delivery service when using third-party platforms like DoorDash. The high cost of the delivered meal ($39.20) further amplified the customer's disappointment when the food and delivery did not meet their expectations.

Typically, a Chinese restaurant in the gourmet category might be expected to offer higher-quality ingredients, more refined dishes, and a greater attention to detail in both food preparation and presentation compared to standard Chinese fast food. The environment for dine-in customers might also be expected to be more upscale or comfortable. Services would generally include both dine-in and takeout options, and increasingly, partnerships with food delivery services like DoorDash are common.

However, the provided review does not offer any insights into the dine-in environment or the quality of food served to in-house customers at Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet. The experience described is solely related to a delivery order. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on the ambiance, cleanliness, or service within the physical restaurant based on this information.

Features that might be expected from a "Chinese Gourmet" establishment could include a diverse and perhaps innovative menu, the use of premium ingredients, and skilled chefs. However, the discrepancy in the nut used in the prawn dish and the unappetizing description of the sauce in the review do not necessarily align with a gourmet expectation. Similarly, the delivery being left in an unsecured location is not indicative of a high-quality service experience.

There is no information about any promotional offers or specials from Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet in the provided review. To learn about their menu, pricing for dine-in or takeout (excluding delivery platforms), and any current promotions, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly at (650) 328-6885 or +1 650-328-6885. Inquiring about their delivery procedures and whether they have specific instructions for delivery drivers to ensure orders are safely and correctly delivered might also be beneficial for potential customers considering this option.

In conclusion, the limited feedback available for Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet in Santa Clara through this single review raises concerns about the accuracy of menu descriptions, the quality and taste of at least one of their dishes (walnut prawns), and the reliability of their delivery service via DoorDash. Potential customers, especially those considering delivery, should be aware of this reported experience. Those interested in dining in or ordering directly from the restaurant may need to seek additional reviews or information to form a more comprehensive opinion about the overall quality of food, service, and environment at Jing Jing Chinese Gourmet.
