About Jin's China Kitchen
Welcome to Jin's China Kitchen, a Chinese Restaurant located at 10 E Washington St in Corry, Pennsylvania. As a local option for Chinese cuisine, Jin's China Kitchen offers both dine-in and takeout services. Based on the limited customer feedback available online, experiences at this establishment appear to vary significantly, particularly concerning the restaurant's environment and service.
One customer, new to the area and seeking to try local Chinese food, reported a notably negative first impression. Upon entering Jin's China Kitchen, they observed that the restaurant was understaffed, with only one person working. This apparent lack of staff seemed to correlate with issues regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of the dining area. The customer described several tables as being cluttered with "stinky leftover food" and generally messy. Furthermore, they noted an unpleasant odor of "fermenting food" emanating from the uncleared tables, which they found stomach-turning. This raises significant concerns about the hygiene and maintenance of the dining environment at the time of this customer's visit.
The same reviewer also detailed their experience with the service, or rather the lack thereof. Upon entering, the single employee was occupied taking orders for two other customers at the register. The reviewer and their companion seated themselves at a table and obtained a takeout menu. Despite being seated for approximately ten minutes, they reported that no one acknowledged their presence. Subsequently, the employee who had been at the register reportedly went to the back of the restaurant, leaving the waiting customers unattended. The combination of the unclean dining area and the lack of acknowledgment or service led this customer to decide to leave without ordering food, a decision they stated they had "zero regrets" about. Their overall impression was so negative that they expressed concerns about the potential state of the kitchen, especially given the apparent short staffing and the condition of the dining room.
In stark contrast, another customer who visited Jin's China Kitchen the day before the first reviewer's experience reported a positive encounter. This customer stated that "the food was very good 😊" and specifically mentioned enjoying the "beef and veggies with rice and 3 cheese wontons." Their positive feedback on the food quality is a significant counterpoint to the negative observations regarding the environment and service. This reviewer also indicated their intention to return "very soon," suggesting a satisfying culinary experience.
The limited information available makes it difficult to form a comprehensive picture of Jin's China Kitchen. The two reviews present drastically different perspectives, one highlighting serious issues with cleanliness and service due to apparent understaffing, while the other praises the quality of specific food items. There is no information provided about the restaurant's decor, overall ambiance, or the range of services offered beyond dine-in and takeout (implied by the takeout menu mentioned). Additionally, there is no mention of any promotional offers or specials that Jin's China Kitchen might be running.
Given the conflicting nature of these two recent reviews, local users considering Jin's China Kitchen may find it challenging to form a definitive opinion. The negative review raises red flags concerning the restaurant's cleanliness and service standards, potentially linked to being short-staffed. The positive review, however, suggests that the food itself can be of good quality, at least for certain dishes like the beef and veggies with rice and cheese wontons.
Potential customers might want to consider the date of these reviews, with the negative experience seemingly occurring more recently based on the order of the provided text. It is possible that the issues reported in the negative review were an isolated incident or that the restaurant has since addressed these problems. However, the detailed description of the unclean environment and the lack of service is concerning.
For those interested in trying Jin's China Kitchen, it might be prudent to call ahead at (814) 664-8484 or +1 814-664-8484 to inquire about their current staffing levels and any recent changes in their service or cleanliness protocols. Additionally, asking about the preparation of specific dishes, such as the beef and veggies or the cheese wontons mentioned in the positive review, might provide more insight into their menu offerings.
In conclusion, Jin's China Kitchen in Corry, PA, presents a mixed profile based on the limited recent customer feedback. While one customer experienced significant issues with the cleanliness of the dining area and a lack of service, potentially due to understaffing, another customer reported enjoying the food, specifically the beef and veggies with rice and cheese wontons. Without more information regarding the restaurant's environment, overall services, and any current promotions, local users will need to weigh these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to visit Jin's China Kitchen. It may be advisable to contact the restaurant directly for more up-to-date information and to inquire about their current standards of service and cleanliness before making a decision to dine in or place a takeout order.
The stark contrast between the two reviews highlights the variability that can sometimes occur in restaurant experiences. While the positive review offers encouragement regarding the food quality, the negative review paints a concerning picture of the dining environment and service. For individuals prioritizing a clean and welcoming atmosphere and attentive service, the negative feedback may be a significant deterrent. Conversely, those primarily focused on the taste of the food might be willing to overlook potential shortcomings in other areas, especially given the positive feedback on certain dishes.
As there is no information about the restaurant's features or any specific aspects that set it apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area, potential customers must rely solely on these limited and conflicting personal experiences. It is possible that Jin's China Kitchen has loyal customers who have had consistently positive experiences, but this is not reflected in the provided feedback. Local residents who have dined at Jin's China Kitchen in the past may have a more informed perspective to share.

Went to try Chinese food since I’m new to the area. First thing I noticed was there was only one person working there. Several tables were cluttered with stinky leftover food and messy tables. It smelled like it had been sitting there for hours. The one person working behind the counter at the register was taking orders for two other people. We sat down at a table and grabbed a takeout menu. Nobody acknowledged us even after the two people had their orders taken. We sat for about 10 minutes and the person that was at the register apparently went to the back. The stench of fermenting food on the tables was turning my stomach. I thought to myself if this is what the dining room looks like, I don’t wanna imagine what the kitchen looks like. Especially if they’re short staffed! I made the decision to leave and not order food. Zero regrets.
Went here yesterday the food was very good 😊 I had beef and veggies with rice and 3 cheese wontons..I'll be back very soon
Ordered over the phone said it would be ready in 15 minutes and as usual when I got there it was waiting for me. They're really fast, although normally get the sweet and sour chicken and as of late it is been real crunchy and hard with little chicken in the middle. I don't know if it's just the batch of chicken they got or what but it's normally pretty juicy and chewy and delicious. And they have some seating available inside. They are small tables that see about four people. But all in all I would go back. It's a good place to eat when you're looking for something on the fly.
Food was incredible. Honestly I don't typically get Chinese food because I haven't had the best experiences with it. Had this and it changed my world lol. Will definitely be going back ! Everything is delicious.
Very friendly. Food is the best I've had in a while. Orange chicken, sweet n sour and chicken with broccoli, General Taos, honey chicken. Everything is fresh and amazing every time. Fried rice, egg rolls and chicken on a stick are my go to's. Egg drop soup is amazing. Always fresh and quick!
