About Jin Jin

Welcome to Jin Jin, a Chinese restaurant located at 1060 Chinoe Rd in Lexington, Kentucky. As a local Chinese restaurant, Jin Jin aims to provide a variety of dishes from the realm of Asian cuisine to the Lexington community. While a phone number is not provided in the available information, the address indicates its physical presence for potential take-out or dine-in services, although the latter cannot be confirmed based solely on the reviews.

Based on the limited customer reviews available online, there is no specific mention of the environment or ambiance of Jin Jin's physical location. The reviews primarily focus on the food itself, with no details provided about the interior décor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dining environment will need to visit the location or potentially find additional information from other online sources not provided here.

In terms of services, the reviews suggest that Jin Jin offers take-out, as customers mention ordering specific dishes. One reviewer's disappointment with their order implies a take-out scenario where the discrepancy was discovered upon returning home. The other reviewer's positive feedback about the food being made to their liking also suggests the possibility of customization, which could be a feature of their service. However, without a phone number or further details, it is difficult to ascertain if they offer dine-in or delivery services. Local users may need to visit the restaurant in person to inquire about the full range of their service options.

Customer feedback on the food quality and portion sizes at Jin Jin is mixed and raises some concerns. One highly negative review described a significant discrepancy between the ordered dish and what was received. The customer ordered a "House SPECIAL low main" but reported receiving "just macaroni and five extremely small shrimp." This indicates a severe error in order fulfillment and a lack of resemblance to a typical lo mein dish. The reviewer's extreme dissatisfaction is evident in their statement that they would have given a zero rating if the option were available, citing the misleading nature of what they received.

Another reviewer had a more positive experience with the taste of the food, stating, "The food is great! They made it how i like, i was very pleased." This suggests that Jin Jin is capable of preparing dishes to a customer's satisfaction in terms of flavor. However, this positive feedback was accompanied by a significant concern regarding portion size for specific ingredients. The reviewer mentioned that their "chicken fried rice only had 5 pieces of tiny chicken." While the overall taste may have been good, the scarcity of the main protein ingredient in a signature dish like chicken fried rice is a notable drawback.

The second reviewer concluded with "Other then that, no issues," implying that their primary concern was the limited amount of chicken in their fried rice. This highlights a potential inconsistency in ingredient proportions within their dishes. The combination of one customer receiving a completely incorrect and substandard order, and another receiving a dish with a severely limited amount of the key ingredient, suggests potential issues with order accuracy and ingredient generosity at Jin Jin.

Currently, there is no information available in the provided reviews regarding any specific promotional offers or discounts at Jin Jin. Chinese restaurants often have lunch specials or combination deals. Local users interested in potential promotions should visit the restaurant at 1060 Chinoe Rd, Lexington, KY 40502, to inquire about any current offers or specials, as a phone number for contact is not provided in the given information.

In summary, the limited customer reviews for Jin Jin in Lexington, KY, present a mixed picture with significant concerns. While one customer found the food tasty and made to their liking, they also noted a lack of chicken in their chicken fried rice. Another customer experienced a severe issue with their order, receiving a dish that was entirely different from what was requested and of very poor quality. These reviews highlight potential problems with order accuracy and consistency in ingredient portions.

For local users considering Jin Jin, the lack of a phone number makes it difficult to inquire about services or place orders remotely. The reported issues with receiving incorrect orders and dishes with a minimal amount of key ingredients should be taken into consideration. While one customer was pleased with the taste and customization, the other's experience was overwhelmingly negative. Potential customers might want to exercise caution and perhaps try a simple order initially to gauge the current food quality and order accuracy.

In conclusion, Jin Jin at 1060 Chinoe Rd in Lexington offers Chinese cuisine with highly varied customer experiences based on the limited reviews. The severe issue of a completely incorrect and substandard order is a major concern, as is the report of a very small amount of chicken in the chicken fried rice. While some aspects of the food might be satisfactory for some customers, the potential for significant discrepancies and lack of key ingredients is a risk that local users should be aware of. Without a phone number, visiting the location is necessary for further inquiries about their menu, services, and any potential promotions.

You can see in the photo why I gave 1. I didn’t give ZERO because don’t have the option. I asked for a House SPECIAL low main. I received just macaroni and five extremely small shrimp.

delivery was a bit slow but then again I placed the order at just before 7pm so right at dinner time it is understandable. no real complaint about that. the steamed dumplings are quite tasty! the sauce with them is not as spicy as I would prefer but also tasty and not at all bad. definitely a decent complement to the dumplings. the fried rice was bland but it seems that is just the way it it these days pretty much everywhere. lots of onions and other veggies and the pork was good. with some soy sauce it was just fine. now the roast pork lo mein was quite good! I am quite happy with it! good flavor and fair amounts of meat and veg. plenty of flavor only needed a tiny bit of soy sauce. on the whole I would order here again. not the best I have had but far far from the worst. next time I will try some of their entrees. I always start with lo mein and fried rice and either dumplings or egg rolls. because if they can't do decent basic stuff like that then there is really no point. this place is batting about .750 or so, so far. I only gave 4 stars because while it is quite good it is not wow really awesome. but not the least disappointed and actually decently pleased. much better than the last place I tried.

If any place deserves less than one star, it's this place. I ordered General Tso's chicken and Crab Rangoon to-go. The person who took my order was very pleasant and helpful. I showed up early asking if they had a public restroom. He happily said that they did and pointed to the back. In there was a soap dispenser that was broken and a bag of liquid soap that had a broken pump that took multiple "pumps" to get the tiniest amount of soap to come out, hanging on a filthy, neglected faucet. Where are they washing their hands after??? I digress... I collected my food and took it home. The chicken dinner contained 12 pieces of oil soaked and mushy chicken pieces. The crab rangoon tasted sour and didn't have a hint of crab imitation meat but hints of orange. I'm sure it was just grated carrot pieces... The red dipping sauce was generous, but spilled everywhere as it wasn't contained appropriately. I called after work to find out that it's been too long since my order was placed to express my concerns. I feel like he thought that like I was lying to get free food and didn't care about the way I felt about the food I received when he responded with, "I can't help you, bye." This place is labeled in my phone as "DO NOT ORDER FROM", and now I remember why... I thought, I'm going to give them another chance. We all deserve that! Never again. Rude service. Filthy establishment. Terrible food.

I hate to leave negative feedback during a pandemic but they should’ve just closed instead of serving poor quality food. The rice was awful that I didn’t even eat it bc it tasted like bag rice cooked poorly. The Mongolian chicken was okay. Some of the chicken was almost rubbery texture while some pieces tasted frozen. The onions we literally the only edible item on the whole dish sadly. It was my first time eating there and seeing the amazing stars definitely tricked me. I would not recommend.
