JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT is located at 4779 US-117 B in Pikeville, North Carolina (zip code 27863). When considering a local dining option, it's helpful to examine recent customer experiences to gain an understanding of what to expect. The available reviews for JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT present a stark contrast, indicating potentially inconsistent experiences for patrons. It's important to consider both positive and negative feedback to form a balanced perspective.

One customer reported a positive experience, stating that the orange chicken and fried rice were "decent." They also felt that the meal offered "a really good deal" for the price. This positive review further noted that the food was ready on time for pickup and that all necessary sauces and napkins were included with the order. This customer expressed their intention to return to JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT to try other dishes on their menu, suggesting a satisfactory initial experience that warranted further exploration.

In stark contrast, another customer shared a vehemently negative experience. They stated that their last visit would be their "very last time ever!" They described the food as so bad that even their dog refused to eat it. Furthermore, this reviewer reported negative interaction with the staff, specifically a woman who waited on them, whose demeanor they found unpleasant. This overwhelmingly negative review raises significant concerns about food quality and customer service at JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT.

Considering these two diametrically opposed reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive overall assessment of JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT. The positive review suggests that some customers find the food to be of decent quality and good value, with efficient service for takeout orders. The negative review, however, paints a picture of extremely poor food quality and unsatisfactory customer service. This discrepancy indicates a potential inconsistency in the restaurant's offerings or service standards.

As a Chinese restaurant, JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT likely offers a standard menu of Chinese-American cuisine, typically including:

  • Appetizers: While not specifically mentioned, common options such as spring rolls, egg rolls, dumplings, and crab Rangoon are usually available.
  • Soups: Standard choices like wonton soup, egg drop soup, and hot and sour soup are generally offered.
  • Main Entrees: A variety of dishes featuring chicken (including the mentioned orange chicken), beef, pork, and seafood, prepared with different sauces and vegetables, are expected. Other popular items might include General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and various stir-fried combinations.
  • Rice and Noodles: Including fried rice (positively mentioned in one review), white rice, and options like lo mein and chow mein.
  • Vegetable Dishes: A selection of vegetable-based dishes for vegetarian customers or as side options.

The provided information does not offer any details about the environment or ambiance of JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT. Given that one positive review focused on the efficiency of takeout service, it is possible that the restaurant primarily caters to takeout orders, and the dine-in experience, if available, is not a primary focus in the available feedback. The negative review does not provide any insight into the restaurant's physical environment either, focusing solely on the food and service interaction.

Similarly, there is no promotional information included in the provided text. Local Chinese restaurants sometimes offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for certain order amounts or days of the week. Without any mention of such offers in the reviews, we cannot comment on whether JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT currently provides any promotional incentives. Residents interested in potential deals should inquire directly with the restaurant when placing their order.

In conclusion, JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT in Pikeville, NC, presents a mixed picture based on the limited available customer reviews. One customer found the orange chicken and fried rice to be decent and a good value, with prompt service. However, another customer reported an extremely negative experience with the food quality and customer service. This significant disparity suggests that potential patrons should be aware of the possibility of inconsistent experiences. For those considering JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT, it might be prudent to inquire about the freshness and preparation of specific dishes when ordering. For the most current information on their menu, services (dine-in or takeout), and any potential promotions, it is recommended to contact JIN JIN CHINESE RESTAURANT directly at (919) 242-2088 or +1 919-242-2088.

Orange chicken was decent as well the fried rice. For the price of the meal I thought it was a really good deal. The food was ready on time and included all the sauces as well as napkins. I'll definitely go here again and try their other dishes.

I hate to run a business down but this one does the speaking for itself. I've given chance after chance for them to redeem themselves after continuously getting orders wrong and they still find a way to screw it up. I guess the joke is on me for going back. Tonight crossed the line though when I knew what I ordered having ordered it from other places. When I looked at it and realized it was the wrong food (suppose to be chow mein...see picture below and tell me that's chow mein) the woman tried to convince me no that's what it is and how it's suppose to look. I tried to be nice and just ask for my money back in return to go somewhere else and she refused. Bottom line spend your money elsewhere or lose your money, and deal with stupidity.

I really love the food from this place but there’s one guy who works there that is SO rude. If you change you’re order in the slightest he will angrily yell at you and hang up on you. It’s happened several times just because my husband doesn’t like onions in his rice so I asked for no onions in the rice. He screamed at me and hung up on me. This is the 4th time he’s done that and I was leaving to go up there and give him a piece of my mind whenever the girl who works up there called me back. She is the absolute best, very sweet and took my order no problem. Overall, he’s the problem and I don’t understand why they he even allow him to answer the phone. I can’t imagine the amount of business he’s driven away with his rotten attitude.

The teriyaki chicken was okay. Had a wonton egg drop soup and it was disgusting. I’m not really picky with Chinese but this was the worst soup I ever had. The broth had an aftertaste and the wontons were mushy and tasted awful. I have no idea if any of those ingredients are expired or just poorly stored. I literally spit it out after trying to eat it. Believe the reviews.
