Never had halal hotpot before so I was very excited to try this restaurant. This is primarily a halal Chinese restaurant and hotpot is a secondary experience you can opt for. They bring a portable burner cooktop to your table and use that to heat up the hotpot base dish. There is a good assortment of proteins and vegetables to choose from. The spicy broth base and the chicken broth base were both delicious. The spicy broth was especially spicy but very flavorful. Service was great and pricing is reasonable for such a great hotpot experience. We also tried the sizzling cumin rice with shrimp, it was very good with a unique authentic flavor. The decor and design is relatively standard, nothing fancy. There is a good amount of seating space.

We like this place. The xinjiang big plate Chicken is very good and has a great amount. For a party of two, a half portion will suffice. They use noodles instead of pita for the bottom but it still tastes pretty good after the noodles are fully soaked in the soup of the chicken. The baked buns are xinjiang special. The lamb kidney doesn't have the bad smell. This place also has a hotpot menu. Make sure you ask for it as usually they only bring the dish menu. Will definitely go again to try out other dishes.

Solid, cheap Chinese food in the heart of East Village. Came here on a Friday night with some friends for a casual catch up, and this was the spot for that. I ordered the spicy beef noodles with the rice noodles, which was very pleasant. The beef was cooked well, the sauce was quite tasty, and the noodles had the right texture. The servers were also very accommodating on a busy Friday night.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Jiang's Kitchen! From start to finish, the service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and quick. The highlight, of course, was the food, which was nothing short of amazing. We indulged in a variety of dishes, and every single one was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The hot and sour cucumber was refreshing with the right amount of tang, and the diced crispy chicken with red peppers had a wonderful balance of heat and crunch. The sautéed lamb with cumin was beautifully spiced, and the lamb kebabs were tender and juicy. The Xinjiang noodle with traditional sauce and hand-rolled noodles was a standout—authentic and full of depth. The sautéed Shanghai bok choi added the perfect touch of greens, and the spicy dry pot chicken and lamb ribs brought all the heat we could ask for without overwhelming the dish. As a halal Chinese spot, Jiang's Kitchen truly nails the flavors and the quality. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine with exceptional service! Definitely a five-star experience.

We visited Jiang's Kitchen on a weekday evening and had a wonderful dining experience. Our group of four was seated right away and the staff was very friendly, offering helpful suggestions with the menu. We started with the steam beef shumai dumplings which were delicious and best enjoyed hot. For our main courses, we tried several dishes including the XinJiang Big Plate Chicken (without bones) served on a bed of noodles which was a standout. The fried noodles with spicy minced beef had great flavors and texture, while the beef with scallion offered some unique and interesting taste combinations. Everything on the menu is halal. The dishes were all well-prepared and satisfying, and we look forward to returning to try more.
