About Jiang Niu BBQ House Orland Park

Jiang Niu BBQ House in Orland Park, located at 14651 LaGrange Rd, offers a unique dining experience as a Chinese-inspired Korean BBQ restaurant. Despite the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," it blends elements of both cuisines, with a clear Chinese name and a menu featuring Korean BBQ style grilling.

The Orland Park location provides a more spacious parking lot and easier access compared to its Chinatown counterpart. The interior boasts a chic yet cozy atmosphere. Service is generally friendly and attentive, though patience may be needed as there might be a limited number of servers.

A notable feature is the availability of an All You Can Eat (AYCE) premium menu, priced at $37, which offers a wide variety of choices. Customers have recommended items such as garlic beef slices, black pepper beef rib strips, marinated LA bone-in short ribs, chicken wings, cheesy corns, and king oyster mushrooms. For an additional charge, you can also try the pork jowl, praised for its rich and meaty flavor, and the house special pancake, which is described as a unique combination of a Korean pancake and takoyaki (without octopus).

The grilled dishes are generally well-received, with mentions of tasty grilled trumpet mushrooms and roasted lamb leg. While the grilled squid's flavor didn't entirely match its impressive presentation, the overall taste experience is considered good. The restaurant also offers takeout service, which has been reported as satisfactory.

The seafood tofu soup is noted to have a bit of a spicy kick and is recommended to be enjoyed with rice. For grilling meats, scissors are provided to cut larger pieces for easier cooking and eating. Chicken wings require longer cooking times and frequent flipping to ensure they are fully cooked and juicy.

Jiang Niu BBQ House presents an opportunity to enjoy a less crowded Korean BBQ experience with a Chinese influence in the suburbs. For reservations or to inquire about their menu and services, please call (708) 696-1030 or +1 708-696-1030.

I came here during a weekday, so it wasn’t too crowded, but the food was pretty good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The grilled dishes were tasty, and the complimentary cold appetizers were notbad either. I especially enjoyed the grilled trumpet mushrooms and roasted lamb leg. Although the grilled squid was presented in a very cool way, the flavor didn’t quite live up to its presentation. Overall, the taste was good and we ordered their takeout for lunch on the second day, which was not bad either.

This is a Chinese inspired Korean BBQ restaurant. Even if you didn’t know, the name of the restaurant is clearly Chinese. It’s a chain and I’ve been to the location in Chinatown a few times. Here, the parking lot is more spacious. It’s easier to get in and out. We walked in with no reservation after 7:30 pm on a Wednesday night. We were seated immediately (it’s not that easy at the Chinatown location). The interior is different here, it still has a chic look but it has a cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive for the most part. There was only one server so you have to be a little patient. If the grill isn’t cooking the meat fast, please let the server know. We got the premium ayce menu ($37) and added pork jowl and house special pancake. The house special pancake tasted like a combination of a Korean pancake and takoyaki (no octopus but similar toppings). I prefer the pork jowl over the pork belly because the taste is richer and more meaty. Honestly, you have a lot of choices without any of the extra items. Recommended items are garlic beef slices, black pepper beef rib strips, marinated LA bone-in short ribs, chicken wings, cheesy corns, and king oyster mushrooms. You can’t go wrong with anything here. Use the scissors to cut large pieces of meat. It’s easier to cook and eat. The seafood tofu soup does have a bit of a kick, if you like a little spicy you’ll enjoy it. Order it with rice. Chicken wings take longer to cook, you have to keep flipping to get both sides fully cooked. If it comes out white and juicy, then you’ve cooked it right. There aren’t many Chinese inspired Korean bbq restaurants in the burbs, so it was nice to come here without all of the traffic and people.

We tried Jiang Niu BBQ twice in the past couple of months. I had a bento box with Garlic Beef and Chicken with Broccoli. A few weeks latter we returned for the Korean BBQ. There is the all you can eat option for $37 per person; thes is an option if you want to try a number of options. You are allowed to order two items per person at a time; ifyou have a group of 6 people you could get a good sampling of items on the menu. We had three people and chose to try the Meat Cake (Beef Navel and Marinated Beef Strips) @$38, a sizzling calamari side, and an order of chicken fried rice. This was more than enough for three people and saved us over $20. This is a great date restaurant but not for families with little kids as the cooking unit is in the middle of the table.

This is an all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant. There is a lot to try on the menu, so come hungry. I had never visited a Korean BBQ joint before, so I had only a vague idea of how it worked. Our server explained things well and there are helpful videos playing on the televisions that will tell you how to use the digital ordering system and how to properly grill your food. Atmosphere is bright and pleasant which makes this a great place to take a casual lunch or dinner date.

great place for family date work or dinner. my fav was black peppered beef rib strip and the marinated LA bone in beef ribs. chicken breast were great spicy spinach peanut salad was delicious and my son had 4 orders of garlic beef slices. took a bit for our drinks that arent included to come. cant order ala carte and ayce (my wife is Gf) and not many choices here for that allergy. service was attentive. the 2nd 3rd and 4th round came out quickly. you are only allowed 1 desert per person. smore was AWESOME and they kept turning our heat down bc smoke from the garlic steak slices. 3 people 1 hr and we were full. the sauce is spicy the seasame oil was gross(my preference) and soy was amazing.
