Jia Dim Sum

Having lived in NYC for a long time, I've been to my share of dim sum places. It is no exaggeration when I say this is the most elevated one I've been to here in the city (or city adjacent since Jia is in Port Washington). The flavors are all so interesting and balanced. I preferred the steamed offerings over the fried ones....except of course the crispy taro wrapped shrimp. I also really enjoyed the refreshing cocktails which paired well with the dim sum. The staff were knowledgeable and really attentive. Can't wait to go back!!!

Loved everything about this meal. Both good and service was great! We ordered a lot and not one dish was a miss. The spicy XLB, Peking duck chow fun noodles and Sichuan beef were my favorites! And do NOT miss out on the chocolate XLB dumplings. YUM!

Living in Los Angeles & having been to dozens of dim sum restaurants there, Hong Kong, and Canton, we found this restaurant to be cut above! Gourmet preparation with tremendous attention to details. Each dish was tasty with distinctive flavors. It’s more expensive than typical dim sum restaurants, but considering the quality & great service it’s worth it. Sodas don’t have refills. The “BOBO Farms Tea-Smoked Crispy Chicken” was our highlight, but every dish was very special. The service by David & Alex was very friendly & professional. The atmosphere is bright and airy, parking is easy & free. I wish they had a restaurant near where we live, either in Sarasota or Los Angeles.

Loved this place! It’s great to have this variety of cuisine in Port Washington. Shrimp stuffed jalapeño poppers were crunchy and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Soup dumplings had a nice complex flavor to the broth. The star of the show is the Peking duck. Right amount of crunch and melts in your mouth. You don’t have to worry about getting a bone except the wings and legs of course. They gave us a little cup of the juice that comes off the duck when cooking. Lots of different spices! The manager was so outgoing and shows he really cares about the business and the people in the town. We had a great conversation. I’ll be back with friends! Thank you

I told them in the restaurant but I'll put it here too: this was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in my life. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and the bartender personally expressed his love for bartending and serving quality drinks. All of the wait staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was other-worldly; and I found myself wanting more of everything even when I was full. It is a small venue, so reservations are highly recommended. It's also pretty pricey, but coming here for special occasions is absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back in a few months!
