JC's Riptides

My family of 6 went this week and it was great! Our server was amazing!! We ate out all week and by far she was the best server we had… so attentive and friendly but not overbearing. They were out of the rock shrimp but it didn’t matter, there were plenty of other great things. We ate scampi, swordfish, scallops, chicken, and a sampler platter. We enjoyed all of it. If I could criticize anything it would be the bake potato, it was rubbery but the other sides were tasty. Thanks for a fun experience!

I loved the Rock Shrimp, but it was tiny! The waitress was attentive. My husband had fried fish and said it was tasteless. We waited over an hour to be seated - 2 people! The noise level was really loud. My husband is hard of hearing & wears hearing aides and we had some difficulties with conversation. The parking area was small with narrow parking spaces. We don't plan to return.

Good place to eat, wouldn't call it great. We had Conch Fritters for an Appetizer, they were good but were basically Hush puppies with a little bit of meat that we couldn't really taste. I would recommend just getting an order of Hush puppies for half the money. We shared the Davy Jones Locker platter with a baked potato and Cole slaw. The cole slaw was very disappointing, not much flavor to it. The platter was mostly great though, I didn't feel like the crab legs were the best but everything else on the platter was great.

Though there was a mix up with our reservations (highly recommended) that someone else took(rude) I was excited to try this place. It did not disappoint!! I chose ribs, homemade BBQ sauce with a baked potato and salad. It was so good!! My seat mates chose fried shrimp, Mahi Mahi, fried catfish and rock shrimp. Everyone was impressed. Came out hot and it was wonderful. Highly recommend but will need reservations for sure.

Had a fantastic time, great staff, great meals and drinks. It was my sister's birthday and they brought out her a piece of cake and sang to her. She thought was just so special . Thank you so very much Riptides. Keep up the great job. We'll be back soon.
