Customer reviews suggest that Jays Ding Ho offers good value for the price of their food. One reviewer found the lunch combination to be adequate for the cost, providing a good portion of food. However, they noted that the rice lacked flavor and required the addition of soy sauce. The chicken quality was deemed acceptable, while the sweet and sour sauce was described as fine but with an unbalanced flavor.

Another reviewer highlighted the "good value" offered by the restaurant and gave an overall rating of 6.1/10, stating they had a "fine time." This reviewer specifically praised the dumplings as being "some of the best" they had ever tasted, describing them as eight large, juicy pork dumplings pan-fried to perfection.

Regarding the shrimp cashew combo, this reviewer found it to be "okay." The combo included soup, crackers, a vegetable roll, and rice. The shrimp was considered "pretty good," but the cashews were noted as being uncomfortably soft. The vegetables in the combo were satisfactory. The rice, for this reviewer, was slightly undercooked and hard in places.

Despite some minor criticisms regarding the rice and cashews, the reviewer concluded that $20 bought a "really solid amount of food," indicating a favorable perception of the value offered at Jays Ding Ho Chinese Restaurant.

Lunch combination is fine for the price. You get a good portion of food. The rice doesn’t taste like much. Had to add a packet of soy sauce to it. The chicken quality was fine. The sweet and sour sauce was fine, but unbalanced in flavor. Good value here for food here. Overall: 6.1/10

So, I had a fine time. The dumplings? Some of the best dumplings I've had in my life. I think they were 8 big Juicy pork dumplings. Panfried to perfection. The shrimp cashew combo? Okay. The combo came with soup, crackers, a vegetable roll and rice. The shrimp was pretty good, but the cashews were a little uncomfortably uncrunchy. The vegetables were good, though. The rice was for me a bit undercooked. A little hard in places. But it was $20 for a really solid amount of food.

Take out of the most disgusting food??? I've ever tasted. I've tasted crab Rangoon all over, even in a box at Costco. Whatever was inside was something I've never tasted. I don't know, the cream cheese tasted bad, and whatever they fried it in tasted like the smell of a used mop. Now the wonton soup. I couldn't understand why the noodles all opened for a bowl of 1 cm noodles floating around.......cause it didn't have anything to adhere too. Crumbs of something else were floating around also which was supposed to be the meat for the wonton and the soup water, water ,water. What a waste. When in line for this barf I could hear the lady ahead saying there was peanut oil in her food that her kid is allergic to. She just wanted her money back but they kept saying they make another so they did. I could see, they opened her old food with peanut oil and poured in a pot of the same dish and gave it to her. I told her. I wouldn't trust this place ever. Were both calling health dept and reporting. Unreal.

The place was nice and cozy with an great atmosphere. I ordered the general two chicken and it was nice, sweet and spicy with the perfect breading! I heard it's best to get it during the weekends cause that's when it's cooked fresh! The rice was soft and the soup was rich as well, 100% coming here again!

The place was small and empty but it was near closing time and very clean. The options were very typical of Chinese American cuisine. I ordered general tsaos chicken and fried dumplings. The dumplings were great and the chicken was good. I personally don't know why I ordered general tsaos because I'm not a big fan but I would come back and try it again. The sauce was just too sweet for me. I'll try again and update this.
