About Jaya Asian Grill

Jaya Asian Grill, located at 1699 S Colorado Blvd B, Denver, CO 80222, USA, presents itself as a Chinese Restaurant on the platform but also offers a variety of Indonesian dishes, as indicated by customer reviews. This suggests a fusion of Asian culinary traditions, potentially specializing in Southern Chinese cuisine alongside Indonesian specialties.

One customer described Jaya Asian Grill as "the perfect spot for southern Chinese cuisine," highlighting that they offer "authentic Chinese dishes different than most you have had at other restaurants." This reviewer praised the "excellent" service and noted that the food was served "hot and fresh," strongly recommending a visit and expressing their intention to return.

Another customer's review focused on their takeout experience with Indonesian cuisine. They tried several dishes, including Beef Rendang with coconut rice, Fried Rice, Satay Chicken, Char Kway Teow, roti Canai, Pulut Hitam, and Beef Steak Sambal Goreng. This reviewer found the Beef Steak Sambal Goreng "incredibly flavorful" with a delightful aroma and richness, and the Fried Rice was noted as "well-seasoned" with a "nice texture." The Char Kway Teow was described as having "the right balance of spices" and being "very satisfying." For dessert, the Pulut Hitam was a "perfect sweet ending" with a warm, coconutty, and slightly sticky texture. The "highlight" of the meal was the beef rendang, praised for its "spicy, savory kick," tenderness, and perfect pairing with coconut rice. Overall, this customer found the "food quality and flavor were good" and recommended Jaya Indonesian Restaurant (referring to it by a slightly different name but clearly the same establishment) for a "wonderful culinary experience."

However, the same customer who enjoyed many of the Indonesian dishes found the Chicken Satay to be "terrible," describing it as dry with a peanut sauce that was not very creamy and lacking the authenticity and flavor they expected as an Indonesian. This suggests that while many dishes are well-received, there might be inconsistencies.

Based on the available reviews, Jaya Asian Grill offers a unique combination of Southern Chinese and Indonesian cuisine. Customers can expect some authentic and flavorful dishes, particularly the beef rendang, fried rice, char kway teow, and potentially their Southern Chinese offerings. The service has been described as excellent. However, there might be variability in the quality of certain dishes, such as the satay chicken. Local users looking for a diverse Asian culinary experience with both Chinese and Indonesian options might find Jaya Asian Grill worth a try.

I recently ordered take out at Jaya Indonesian Restaurant and tried a variety of dishes, including Beef Rendang with coconut rice, Fried Rice, Satay Chicken, Char Kway Teow, roti Canai, Pulut Hitam, and Beef Steak Sambal Goreng. The Beef Steak Sambal Goreng was incredibly flavorful which added a delightful aroma and richness. The Fried Rice was well-seasoned and had a nice texture. Chicken Satay was terrible and I would not order again. It was dry, and the peanut sauce was not very creamy. Being an Indonesian, in my opinion, the satay lacked authenticity and didn’t have the same flavor as what I had back home. Char Kway Teow had the right balance of spices and was very satisfying. For dessert, the Pulut Hitam was a perfect sweet ending, with its warm, coconutty, and slightly sticky texture. Lastly, the beef rendang was the highlight of our meal, with its spicy, savory kick that left us wanting more. It was extremely tender, paired perfectly with the coconut rice. Overall, the food quality and flavor were good, and I recommend Jaya Indonesian Restaurant for a wonderful culinary experience!

Unique. This is one of the few places I've been in town that has authentic Malaysian, Singaporean, and Indonesian cuisines. It has some lackluster points, but I didn't see anything glaring in terms of what they were trying to accomplish. I had the panang and my wife had beef rendang. Worth a try.

We came to Jaya for dinner on recommendation from an Indonesian Uber driver we had last week. He recommended this place very much, given his opinion on authentic Southeast Asian food. We were blown away at just how fresh and delicious the food was. We ordered 2 appetizers, a soup, and 2 mains; Cheese Wonton, Vegetable Egg Roll, Tom Kha soup, Char Udon and Sesame Dish (chicken). The appetizers and soup came out with good pacing and presentation, we were able to nearly finish it all right as the mains came out. The mains were visually stunning, and the incredible smells came right after. My partner and I have travelled much of the US trying Asian food everywhere we go, and we agreed that this was the most impressive of all even before we tasted it. The food had incredible depth of flavor and the textures were perfect. The dishes are very clearly made to order and the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. Without a doubt the best food I’ve had in Denver. Also, after reading some of the 1 star reviews, I appreciate the restaurant staff defending themselves and what they’re doing. They’re very clearly keeping their culture alive and sharing it with their food, and are doing so confidently. We also heard that the herbs and greens are grown locally to cater to their specific cuisine. Keep it up!! We will be back, this is our new favorite spot!

I went here after my traveling companion remembered going here several years before and really enjoying it. I had the Beef Rendang with rice while he had the Loksa. We shared a Durian and Avocado Smoothie. Each dish was rich and had deep and unique flavor profiles. I honestly haven't had such good food in a long time! The smoothies were really interesting and fun, very smooth and sweet while also having the taste of their respective fruits. Our server was the same on each day we came and was very friendly and helpful. I have no doubt that all of the items on the menu are equally delicious and I only wish I had more time during my visit to taste more! Definitely a must when visiting Denver!
