About Jasmine Asian Bistro

Jasmine Asian Bistro, located at 2420 Lime Kiln Ln, Louisville, KY 40222, USA, positions itself as an Asian bistro, offering a variety of culinary options that typically encompass both Chinese and Japanese (sushi) cuisine. Operating within the broad "Chinese Restaurant" platform category, this establishment aims to cater to a diverse palate seeking Asian-inspired dishes. However, recent customer experiences highlight significant inconsistencies in both food quality and service, suggesting a varying guest experience.

The environment at Jasmine Asian Bistro, based on the provided reviews, appears to offer both dine-in and takeout options. For dine-in, one customer noted sitting at a booth where "the back was loose so every time the person behind us moved, it pushed me forward." This detail, while minor, points to potential issues with maintenance or comfort within the dining space. For customers who opt for takeout, the atmosphere within the restaurant itself might not be a primary concern, as one reviewer explicitly stated, "I didn't rate atmosphere since all I did was run in to pick up." Generally, Asian bistros aim for a clean, modern, and inviting ambiance, but specific details for this location suggest that the physical comfort for dine-in guests may vary. The location on Lime Kiln Lane provides a specific point of access for those in the Louisville area.

In terms of services, Jasmine Asian Bistro offers both dine-in and takeout options. The ability to call in an order for pickup, as demonstrated by a customer ordering Shrimp Fried Rice, indicates a standard takeout service. For dine-in, however, the service level has been a point of concern. A reviewer mentioned, "We didn’t get much service at all to the table, and had to flag the server down for anything we needed." This suggests a potential lack of attentiveness or understaffing during peak times, which can significantly impact the overall dining experience. Customers can reach Jasmine Asian Bistro by phone at (502) 618-3000 or +1 502-618-3000 for orders or inquiries, providing a direct line for service. The efficiency and quality of service appear to be inconsistent, varying between quick pickups and potentially inattentive table service.

The features of Jasmine Asian Bistro's menu encompass both Chinese takeout entrees and sushi. One notable feature, particularly for Chinese dishes, is the **portion size**, which was described as "huge" for the Shrimp Fried Rice. This can be appealing to customers seeking good value in terms of quantity. However, this positive aspect of generous portions is unfortunately overshadowed by significant concerns regarding food quality and freshness. The Shrimp Fried Rice, despite its large size, was described as having "freezer burnt or old" shrimp that was "not eligible" for consumption, and the carrots and peas were identifiably "frozen kind out of the bag." This suggests a reliance on pre-prepared or previously frozen ingredients that may not be handled or stored optimally, leading to a diminished culinary experience. Another general critique was that the "food was decent, but everything was fairly bland," particularly for the Chinese takeout entrees, indicating a lack of robust flavor profiles.

In contrast, the **sushi offerings** seem to fare better in customer reviews. The "sushi roll (green tree roll) was the best thing I ordered," leading to a recommendation to "order sushi to go if you’re thinking of trying this place." This distinction suggests that while the Chinese dishes may be inconsistent or disappointing, the sushi preparation and quality might be a stronger suit for Jasmine Asian Bistro. This bifurcated experience is crucial for potential customers to consider, as it indicates that the restaurant's strengths lie more in one area of its menu than another.

Regarding promotional information, no explicit deals or ongoing promotions are mentioned in the provided reviews. The inherent value proposition of "huge portion size" for dishes like the Shrimp Fried Rice (priced at $17.00) could be considered a form of value-based promotion, aiming to attract customers seeking quantity. However, this is undermined by the quality issues reported. The positive recommendation for ordering "sushi to go" acts as an organic, albeit specific, form of promotion based on perceived quality. Without more consistent positive feedback across its diverse menu or explicit marketing efforts, Jasmine Asian Bistro's current "promotion" relies heavily on the varied experiences of its patrons. Customers interested in current specials or a comprehensive menu should consider contacting the restaurant directly at (502) 618-3000 or +1 502-618-3000, or visiting their location at 2420 Lime Kiln Ln, Louisville, KY 40222, USA.

In conclusion, Jasmine Asian Bistro at 2420 Lime Kiln Ln, Louisville, KY 40222, USA, presents itself as an Asian bistro offering a range of Chinese and sushi dishes within the "Chinese Restaurant" category. While it offers convenient takeout services and notable portion sizes for some Chinese dishes, recent customer reviews reveal significant concerns regarding the quality and freshness of ingredients in its Chinese offerings, with comments of blandness and issues like "freezer burnt" shrimp. Service levels during dine-in experiences have also been criticized for being inattentive, and physical comfort may vary. The most consistent positive feedback, and thus a potential strength, lies in its sushi, with a specific recommendation for takeout sushi. Therefore, while Jasmine Asian Bistro aims to provide a broad Asian culinary experience, potential patrons should approach with caution regarding the Chinese menu and consider its sushi as a potentially more reliable option, especially for takeout.

Idk what happened to this place, it used to be absolutely delicious, not at all this time around. I didn't rate atmosphere since all I did was run in to pick up. I called in an order of Shrimp Fried Rice, it was $17.00. It was a huge portion size however, the shrimp had been freezer burnt or old idk what since it's was not eligible. You could definitely tell the carrots and peas were the frozen kind out of the bag. Would've rather a small portion of edible delicious food instead of a box sized full of freezer burnt shrimp with little bits of frozen peas & carrots.

The food was decent, but everything was fairly bland. The sushi roll (green tree roll) was the best thing I ordered, but any of the Chinese takeout entrees we got were disappointing. As far as the atmosphere, we sat at a booth and the back was loose so every time the person behind us moved, it pushed me forward. We didn’t get much service at all to the table, and had to flag the server down for anything we needed. I would recommend ordering sushi to go if you’re thinking of trying this place.

One of the best Sichuan food that I have had. Probably the best in Louisville. My friend took us for a special occasion. We were not disappointed. The food was too good to be true. We ordered 4 dishes. Each and every one of the them were delicious. All the people of the store were very nice and courtesies. The pork belly and dry hotpot with seafood were the ones I liked the most. Quantity wise one plate should be enough for two people if you're dinning in... Update: The dine-in dinner closes at 9. But they still offer take out till 9:30.

Ok I was torn between a 4-star and 5-star review but with the generosity of the servings, the 5-star win. We ordered soups (they were simple and ok), chicken pad Thai, pork belly, schewan chicken and spicy shrimp. The shrimp was my favorite, cooked well and tast. The pad Thai was a little dry but better when I was able to mix it (the dish was packed full) I thought the pork belly was the best flavor. Overall very enjoyable and even more so, good sized servings.

The food is good at this little Asian restaurant- everything is fresh and flavorful. I usually get a light dinner- an Egg Roll, a cup of Wonton Soup, and a kid's meal of Beef with Broccoli, all recommended. Service is pretty efficient, but not particularly friendly. The menu seems to be mostly Chinese, but they also have Sushi.
