About Jasmin Restaurant
Welcome to Jasmin Restaurant, a unique establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, located at 719 Main St, Eudora, KS 66025, USA. Jasmin Restaurant offers a distinctive culinary experience by featuring a menu that surprisingly combines both Chinese and Mexican cuisines. This makes it a noteworthy spot for local users looking for a diverse range of flavors in one place. While primarily operating as a takeout restaurant based on recent customer experiences, Jasmin Restaurant aims to provide hot food made with fresh ingredients and delivered with friendly service.
The environment of Jasmin Restaurant, based on the available reviews, seems to be primarily geared towards efficient takeout service. One customer mentioned walking in and realizing that they were only offering takeout orders at the time of their visit. While this suggests that dine-in options might be limited or unavailable, the focus appears to be on preparing food for customers to enjoy elsewhere. The positive feedback regarding the food being hot indicates that they prioritize maintaining temperature for takeout orders. Further details about the interior ambiance or seating arrangements for potential dine-in (if available at other times) are not provided in the reviews.
The primary service offered by Jasmin Restaurant, at least during a recent visit, is takeout. One reviewer specifically noted that they were only doing takeout orders when they visited. However, another review mentioned dining in on a previous occasion (though the context of that visit is not fully clear). This suggests that while takeout is a significant part of their operation, dine-in service might also be available, potentially depending on the day or time. It would be advisable for customers wishing to dine in to confirm the availability of this service directly with the restaurant by calling (785) 542-1111 or +1 785-542-1111. The friendly service mentioned by one reviewer indicates a positive aspect of their customer interaction, whether for takeout or dine-in.
A notable feature of Jasmin Restaurant is its unique menu that blends Chinese and Mexican culinary traditions. One customer expressed initial skepticism about this combination but was ultimately impressed, stating that the food was great, hot, and made with fresh ingredients. This suggests that Jasmin Restaurant has successfully managed to offer quality dishes from both cuisines. On the Chinese side, one reviewer attempted to order lo mein but settled for chow mein, indicating the presence of noodle dishes on their menu. However, they found the chow mein to be quite bland. This same reviewer also noted a funny aftertaste in the chicken across all their ordered dishes, including those from the Mexican cuisine, except for the crab rangoons, which they found to be pretty good. This highlights a potential inconsistency in the quality or flavor of some of their ingredients or preparations.
On the other hand, another customer specifically praised the Beef and Broccoli (a Chinese dish) as tasty and the Cho Cho Chicken appetizer (origin not specified but likely Chinese-inspired) as delicious. This positive feedback, along with the comment about "so many options" on the menu, suggests a diverse selection that caters to different tastes within both their Chinese and Mexican offerings. The mention of fresh ingredients being used is a significant positive feature, indicating a commitment to quality in their food preparation.
The contrasting experiences in the reviews highlight the importance of individual preferences and potential inconsistencies in food quality. While one customer found the food to be great, hot, and fresh, another experienced blandness in the chow mein and an unusual aftertaste in the chicken across multiple dishes. The positive remarks about the Beef and Broccoli, Cho Cho Chicken, and Crab Rangoons suggest that some items on the menu are well-received. The unique combination of Chinese and Mexican cuisines is itself a distinctive feature that might appeal to adventurous eaters or those looking for variety.

Customer Reviews
I wanted to order lo mein, but I figured chow mein was the most similar since they're both noodles dishes and lo mein was nowhere on the menu. The menu should include more photos of the dishes because I thought this was a different dish than the chow mein when it got here. We were assured this was their chow mein, and we needed to order the lo mein next time. It was quite bland and the chicken in all of our dishes had a funny aftertaste, even in the Mexican cuisine. The crab rangoons were pretty good.
I gotta say, I was definitely skeptical since I've never been to a place with both cuisines but it was GREAT! The food was hot and the ingredients were fresh. Not to mention the lady was so nice! We are just in town to do a concrete project across the street & didn't realize they are only doing takeout orders until we walked in. Beef and brocolli was tasty and the Cho Cho Chicken appetizer was delicious. So many options!
I am often disappointed when asking for Chinese dishes to made spicy. The last time we were in a woman asked for 7/10 on the General Tso Chicken. When I asked her how it was, I decided I needed to have it on the next visit. I asked for 8/10, because the woman (who also offered me a taste?) said any spicier would ruin it. After signing the waiver, I can say it was fantastic! At first the ginger threw me off, because I wasn't expecting it. But after the initial bite fades, of course the extra warmth gave balance to the chili peppers. It was so, good. Fried rice is sometimes hit or miss. Same with crowd. Sometimes everyone is doing take out, other times it's packed with only one server. But everyone is always super nice.
Ever been to a combination Mexican/Chinese restaurant? I hadn't until I ate at Jasmine's. As strange as it sounds, the food, service, and comfort were wonderful!!! We ordered from the Mexican menu with every item being delicious! The family at the table by us had Chinese which looked and smelled fantastic. Their to go orders kept the staff extra busy!!! I highly recommend Jasmin's for both the food and the expexperience.
Nothing extraordinary. Scallops and shrimp in hot garlic sauce had no scallops in it. Tasted like sweet and sour sauce rather than garlic sauce. Fried rice was not fried rice. Just barely ok, will not be going back.
