Based on customer reviews, the environment of Jade of China is described as "older" and "seems in desperate need of an upgrade." This suggests that the restaurant's physical appearance and decor might be dated and could benefit from renovation or refurbishment. While the age of an establishment does not necessarily reflect the quality of its food or service, it is a factor some diners consider when choosing a place to eat. Potential customers might anticipate a more traditional or less modern aesthetic when visiting Jade of China. To gain a more detailed understanding of the restaurant's ambiance, it may be helpful to visit the location or search for any available online images.
In terms of services, Jade of China likely offers standard options for a Chinese restaurant, which typically include dine-in and takeout. The first customer review mentions dining in, indicating that this service is available. Additionally, many Chinese restaurants also offer delivery services for added convenience. To confirm the full range of services provided by Jade of China, including their delivery area and any associated fees or minimum order amounts, it is best to contact them directly.
As a Chinese restaurant, Jade of China would typically feature a menu encompassing a variety of classic and popular Chinese dishes. These often include categories such as rice dishes (like fried rice), noodle dishes (such as lo mein or chow mein), various preparations of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood, vegetable dishes, soups, and appetizers like egg rolls and dumplings. The first reviewer described the food as "good, not great," and noted that they "got what we ordered," suggesting a basic level of satisfaction with the taste and order accuracy at the time of their visit. However, the specific menu of Jade of China, including any house specialties or unique offerings, is not detailed in the provided information. To explore their culinary selections and pricing, it is recommended to request a menu when contacting the restaurant.
Customer reviews for Jade of China present a mixed and concerning view of recent experiences. While one reviewer found the food "good" and the service "alright" during a less busy period, another customer, who stated they "usually love this restaurant," reported significant issues with their past couple of orders, leading them to vow never to order again. This indicates a potential decline in food quality or consistency over time.
The second reviewer detailed severe problems with their recent takeout orders. The Mongolian Beef was described as "all onions with maybe one or two chunks of meat," essentially an "onion stew" lacking other expected ingredients like vegetables and sesame seeds. The Kung Pao Beef ordered by their husband was reported to be "mostly bamboo shoots and water chestnuts (from can)" with "no meat, no nuts or veggies." These descriptions suggest a significant lack of key ingredients and potentially poor preparation of these dishes. The reviewer also mentioned noticing a decline in the restaurant's health rating from an A to a B-, further contributing to their negative perception.
The service experience also appears to be inconsistent. The first reviewer, despite being one of only two couples in the establishment, reported a lack of attentiveness from the server, who walked by multiple times without checking on them until they actively sought attention. This suggests potential issues with service, particularly during less busy periods.
Given this feedback, local users considering Jade of China should be aware of the potential for an older environment, inconsistent service, and, more significantly, recent reports of very poor food quality with a lack of key ingredients in some dishes. The stark contrast between a past positive experience ("usually love this restaurant") and recent negative experiences ("horrible," "very very bad") is a serious concern. The reported decline in the health rating also warrants consideration.
As no promotional information was included in the provided data, it is not possible to comment on any special offers or discounts that Jade of China might be providing. Potential customers would need to inquire directly with the restaurant about any current promotions.
In conclusion, Jade of China in Aiken, SC, is a Chinese restaurant with an environment described as older and in need of an upgrade. Service has been reported as adequate but potentially inattentive. While one past experience was positive, recent reviews highlight significant issues with food quality, including a lack of main ingredients in dishes like Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Beef. A reported decline in the health rating also adds to concerns. Local users should carefully consider this feedback when deciding whether to dine at or order from Jade of China. For the most current information on their menu, services, and any potential improvements or promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

The establishment is older and seems in desperate need of an upgrade. Service was alright, in a way of it was me and another couple and we weren’t checked on. Even though she walked by us a bunch of times and couldn’t get her attention. The food was good. not great. but good. and got what we ordered. It’s fine for a quick bite.
We usually love this restaurant but the past couple of times we have ordered from them have been horrible. I ordered Mongolian Beef and it was all onions with maybe one or two chunks of meat. Nothing else so basically onion stew. There were on veggies, sesame seeds or anything and NO meat really. My husband ordered Kung Pao Beef his was mostly bamboo shoots and water chestnuts (from can)he also had no meat, no nuts or veggies. These meals were very very bad and then I noticed that their ratings went from an A to a B- we well never order from them again!!!
Came for takeout, spent nearly $100. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, the service was amazing, but the food was incredibly poorly made. The appetizers were okay but all the mains were not good at all. The sesame chicken is breaded chicken with a clear liquid sauce, the kung pao chicken smelled really weird, and all the lo mein is oily and flavorless. Don't pay extra to have anything added, we accepted an upcharge to add tofu to a dish and barely any was added. It was unfortunately disappointing, I'd recommend going elsewhere.
Spent $71.00 .typically the food is good! What is got tonight was absolutely terriable. My wontons were mussy, egg roll burnt. I ordered Genrral Toa's chicken..chicken was over coked and was more like a beef jelrky texture. Ordered vegetable lo making came out to be shrimp then took it back and gave me beef worst I've ever had and a waste of money. I won't be ordering or going back anytime soon. I had reviewed the restaurant before as 5 stars..not now this isn't the first time the food has been horrible or service. Again.i won't be back anytime soon!
I am new in town and it was my first visit. Very polite and friendly. The food was 90 percent onions with tiny pieces of beef. I am not exaggerating. I never publicly complain but this is too much. Two dishes was 40 dollars. It was to go or I would have returned our plates and left. Restaurant made a conscience decision to save money and rip us off. I won’t be back
