About Jade Garden Restaurant

Located at 2413 Westchester Ave in the Bronx, NY 10461, USA, Jade Garden Restaurant is a Chinese eatery that has received limited but noteworthy feedback from recent customers. You can contact them at (718) 863-4693 or their mobile number +1 718-863-4693. Based on the available reviews, Jade Garden Restaurant offers delivery service and serves dishes that are described as "good." However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the preparation of vegetarian meals and the perceived value for money, particularly in relation to portion sizes.

Details regarding the environment of Jade Garden Restaurant are not provided in the available reviews. There is no mention of the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or cleanliness. Therefore, it is not possible to offer any insight into the physical setting of the establishment for customers who might choose to dine in, although one review explicitly mentions food being delivered, suggesting that delivery is a service they offer. The lack of information about the environment limits the ability to paint a comprehensive picture of the overall customer experience.

In terms of services, one confirmed service offered by Jade Garden Restaurant is delivery. A customer specifically mentioned that they "got food delivered," indicating that this is a convenient option for those in the vicinity who prefer to enjoy their meals at home. The reviews do not provide information about the efficiency or speed of the delivery service, nor do they mention whether takeout or dine-in options are also available. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the food itself and its value.

One of the most critical pieces of feedback concerns the preparation of vegetarian meals. A reviewer, identifying as a "pure vegetarian person," expressed strong displeasure upon discovering that "vegetarian meals are cooked using chicken sock." This practice is clearly unacceptable for individuals who adhere to a vegetarian diet and highlights a significant issue with the restaurant's understanding or accommodation of dietary restrictions. The use of chicken stock in vegetarian dishes renders them non-vegetarian and can be a serious concern for those who avoid animal products for ethical, religious, or health reasons. This lack of transparency or cross-contamination in food preparation could severely impact the restaurant's appeal to vegetarian customers.

Regarding the food itself, one reviewer simply stated that "it was good," while another echoed this sentiment with "again it was good." These comments suggest that the taste of the food is generally acceptable to some customers. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by concerns about the value for money. Both of these reviewers followed their positive taste assessment with the caveat that the food was "not nearly worth it" or "not nearly worth the money at all." This indicates a perception that the prices charged by Jade Garden Restaurant do not align with the quantity or quality of food received, leading to dissatisfaction with the overall value proposition.

A specific example of this perceived lack of value is provided in one review concerning the "sesame chicken" order. The customer noted that they received only "9 pieces of chicken" in their order. While the taste might have been acceptable, the limited quantity of the main ingredient in the dish contributed to the feeling that the meal was not worth the money spent. This suggests that portion sizes for certain dishes might be smaller than expected for the price, leading to customer disappointment.

Promotional information is entirely absent from the provided reviews. There are no mentions of any special offers, discounts, or unique promotions that Jade Garden Restaurant might be currently running. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any efforts the restaurant might be making to attract new customers or retain existing ones through promotional activities. The feedback is solely focused on the food quality (with a significant concern for vegetarian preparation) and the perceived value for money.

In summary, Jade Garden Restaurant in the Bronx, NY, offers delivery service and food that is described as "good" by some customers. However, there are significant drawbacks highlighted in the recent reviews. The critical issue of vegetarian meals being cooked using chicken stock poses a serious problem for vegetarian diners. Additionally, multiple reviewers expressed concerns about the value for money, citing small portion sizes (such as only 9 pieces of chicken in a sesame chicken order) relative to the price. Information regarding the restaurant's environment and other services is not available. The feedback suggests that while the taste of the food might be acceptable, the lack of consideration for dietary restrictions and the perceived poor value could be major deterrents for potential customers.

For local users in the Bronx, NY, considering Jade Garden Restaurant, it is crucial to be aware of the potential issues raised in the recent reviews. If you are a vegetarian, the information that vegetarian meals are cooked using chicken stock is a significant concern and should likely lead you to avoid this establishment. For non-vegetarians, while the food is described as "good," the recurring feedback that it is "not nearly worth the money" due to small portion sizes should be taken into consideration. If value for money is a key factor in your dining decisions, you might want to explore other Chinese restaurants in the area that offer a better balance between price and quantity. Without any positive feedback regarding the environment or additional services, and with the serious concern about vegetarian options, it is difficult to recommend Jade Garden Restaurant based solely on the provided reviews. Potential customers might want to weigh the convenience of delivery against the reported issues with dietary accommodation and value before placing an order.

The food here is always fresh as though they change the oil they use constantly which you do not experience a lot of in NYC Chinese food restaurants in “the hood”. The last who takes the order is very kind and sweet. I usually order through grubby b do I can’t tell you about the actual atmosphere. All I can say is the food is always cooked in fresh oil so it’s not greasy and very tasty.
