Jade Garden

Called in to place my order and they had it ready within 15 minutes. I got the pork fried rice, dumplings, and scallion pancake along with a strawberry tea with lychee jellies. The place is a nice little hole in the wall. They were so kind on the phone and as I picked up my food and it tastes great!!

Simple hole in the wall spot. Seems to be run by a husband and wife. Let’s start by saying in Ithaca’s food desert of actually decent food, Jade Garden is that hidden oasis. Good prices, amazing portion slices and delicious food. I love spice and they were super helpful in adjusting the heat level of my meal to the point that it just slapped. PS- food was read in under 5 mins which was a sight to see (got the house special fried rice - extra spicy - container was packed full to the brim). Best Chinese food in a 5 square mile radius - EASY.

food is mediocre, portions are very un-generous, and they don’t care about special requests like “please make this spicy” 😉 well to be fair, i ordered gen tso tofu and cold sesame noodles on doordash. interesting thing though is that the bag had my name written on it but inside was dumplings and pork fried rice— how does that even happen LMAO. anyways i ate it of course (it wasn’t good) and doordash declined my refund like wtf. i ordered again a week later and YAY, my order was right! but i shouldn’t have bothered.

I ordered fried chicken wings lo mein and egg roll. All were outstanding. The container was stuffed full, the wings were delicious and the egg roll full of tasty veggies. I like it better than Ling Ling. Bigger portions and better appetizers.

We’ve lived in Ithaca for a year and happy to have finally found Jade Garden! So good and fresh. Our favorite takeout!
