About Jade Express - Goldsboro

Jade Express - Goldsboro is a Chinese restaurant located at 613 N Berkeley Blvd in Goldsboro, North Carolina (zip code 27534). They can be contacted at (919) 778-4112 or via their mobile number +1 919-778-4112. As a "Chinese Restaurant" serving the Goldsboro area, Jade Express - Goldsboro would typically be expected to offer a variety of Chinese-American dishes and related services. However, the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the quality of their food and service.

When considering dining at or ordering from a local restaurant, it is crucial to take into account the experiences of other customers. The recent feedback for Jade Express - Goldsboro is overwhelmingly negative and raises serious red flags about the establishment's standards. Potential customers should carefully consider these reviews before making a decision.

One particularly scathing review describes a thoroughly negative experience. The customer reported that the fried rice was made with "no veggies," was dry, flavorless, stale, and ultimately inedible. Based on this, the reviewer strongly recommended against patronizing Jade Express - Goldsboro. Furthermore, they stated that the chicken was flavorless and the noodles were also stale. The reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service, indicating that no one seemed concerned or willing to help with their issues. This customer deemed their experience an "utter waste of money" and suggested an alternative local restaurant, Jay's Kitchen. Given the severity of their complaints about the food quality, the reviewer went so far as to suggest that the health inspector and local news agencies should be informed to prevent others from potentially getting sick or encountering inedible food.

Another alarming review detailed a disturbing incident involving a smoothie. The customer reported finding a "plastic fork ground up" in their smoothie. They also mentioned that two other customers who had ordered the same smoothie noticed discrepancies in their orders, suggesting potential issues with food preparation consistency. The reviewer expressed extreme disgust and indicated they would never patronize Jade Express - Goldsboro again due to this incident.

These two reviews, though limited in number, are exceptionally negative and highlight significant problems with food quality, preparation, and potentially food safety at Jade Express - Goldsboro. The complaints range from stale and flavorless food to the presence of foreign objects in a beverage, both of which are serious concerns for any food establishment.

Typically, a Chinese restaurant like Jade Express - Goldsboro would be expected to offer a standard menu of Chinese-American cuisine, which might include:

  • Appetizers: Such as spring rolls, egg rolls, dumplings, and crab Rangoon.
  • Soups: Common options include wonton soup, egg drop soup, and hot and sour soup.
  • Main Entrees: A variety of dishes featuring chicken, beef, pork, and seafood, prepared with different sauces and vegetables. Examples include General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and various stir-fried combinations. The negative review mentioned flavorless chicken, indicating this is a dish they offer.
  • Rice and Noodles: Including fried rice (which was heavily criticized in one review for lacking vegetables, being dry, flavorless, and stale), white rice, lo mein, and chow mein. The same review mentioned stale noodles.
  • Beverages: Typically including soft drinks, tea, and possibly smoothies (as indicated by the review with the plastic fork incident).
  • Vegetable Dishes: A selection of vegetable-based dishes for vegetarian customers or as side options.

The provided information does not offer any details about the environment or ambiance of Jade Express - Goldsboro. Given the strong negative focus on food quality and a specific incident with a beverage, aspects such as the cleanliness or decor of the restaurant are not mentioned in the available feedback. It is unclear whether Jade Express - Goldsboro primarily focuses on takeout or offers a significant dine-in experience.

Similarly, there is no promotional information included in the provided text. Local restaurants sometimes offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for certain order amounts or days of the week. Without any mention of such offers in the reviews, we cannot comment on whether Jade Express - Goldsboro currently provides any promotional incentives. Potential customers might want to inquire directly if they are interested in any special deals.

In conclusion, the limited but recent customer reviews for Jade Express - Goldsboro in Goldsboro, NC, are extremely concerning. They describe inedible food, poor quality ingredients, and a disturbing incident involving a foreign object in a beverage. Additionally, dissatisfaction with customer service was reported. These issues raise significant questions about the restaurant's food quality, preparation standards, and overall management. Based on this strong negative feedback, potential customers should exercise extreme caution when considering this establishment. It would be advisable to seek alternative dining options in the Goldsboro area that have more positive and reliable customer reviews. Due to the serious nature of the complaints, including potential food safety concerns, the recommendations made by one reviewer to contact health authorities and local news outlets might warrant consideration by those who have had similarly negative experiences.

Terrible. Who makes fried rice with no veggies? Fried rice is dried rice, flavorless, stale, inedible. I do not recommend this place at all. The chicken was flavorless, the noodles were also stale, and no one seemed to care enough to help us with our problems. Utter waste of money, just go to jays kitchen instead of this place. After reading these other reviews and experiencing the horrors this place serves as food, I think the health inspector and local news agencies should be made aware so no one else gets sick or breaks a tooth on this junk.

Got a plastic fork ground up in my smoothie today…🤬just because.. The 2 other ladies in front of my husband were talking to him about it because they ordered the same but they didn’t look the same and most definitely didn’t have the extra fiber that will cut your insides.. My husband thought it was ice and brought it to me at work..Never again… 😡

Just wondering if they sell dog meat with all the food coloring and stuff to hide what it really is. I'm just unsure. I wish they'll be honest and if they are smuggling animals here that we really don't practice or eat in the states of wish that they would be liable for it. Steak egg rolls are really really good

Black pepper chicken was horrible (fried in heavy batter and had a sweet flavor) was supposed to be flash fried with a hint of black pepper and a savory flavor. It appears they used the same chicken for orange chicken but used a different sauce. (that doesn’t work) Fried rice wasn’t fried, just steamed yellow rice with a hint of onions, peas and carrots. Lousy interpretation of Chinese food! Not worth your money!
