Jacky Chen Restaurant

Thought I liked their food but the general tso was mushy (too bready maybe?) and not cooked well. The taste itself was good and lomein was good. But overall, very disappointing because of the way it was cooked... Then, I witnessed the man cooking some beef or steak of some sort by scooping it with a scooper and then placing the scopper (covered in raw juices and meat) on top of PRECOOKED fried chicken wings. This is very unsanitary and cross contamination and the chicken is not made to order. Won't be returning as of now.

I’ve been going here since they opened their new location. The food taste and quality was amazing. I don’t know if they have new cooks or changed the quality of the food they purchase, but for the last few months the food has been horrible. I think they need to go back to where they started.

I was ordering after a long day and I lost focus when I was trying to order. I had a language barrier issue and got frustrated with the owner during my order. I went outside while my order was being made, and went back in. I had to have been out there 7 minutes during busy hours. I found out that I forgot my wallet and bank card on the counter. The owner took the bank card and wallet and made sure it was safe. I cried. I've lost at least three this year and it wasn't even his responsibility. I tried to tip him for his kindness and he refused. Claimed that he makes sure his restaurant is run with integrity. The food is delicious.. The owner is a Saint.

This was the most disgusting Chinese food I have ate. The chicken was slimy. The vegetable fried rice tasted spoiled and the pancit noodles was dry and stuck together and the beef was not beef maybe some type of wild animal!!!!

I ordered Chicken Chow Mein which I assumed would be similar to the Chow Mein I have had at other places. For example, I eat Trader Joe's Chicken Chow Mein regularly and it looks like the picture below. I also googled Chicken Chow Mein and all the dishes look similar to the Trader Joe's version. However, at Jacky Chen's it is a saucy cabbage, celery and chicken dish without noodles. Their website doesn't provide a description so for anyone else who might assume they are getting a noodle dish, I have provided a picture below so you can see what you will receive at Jacky Chen's. I have been a loyal customer at Jacky Chen's for many years and was really surprised by the response I received when I called to explain that what I received was vastly different from what I believed that I was ordering. I think it is only fair that they include a description or a photo on their online menu so that customers know what they are getting. Instead of acknowledging that this could be confusing to customers, I was told repeatedly (in a condescending tone) that I must not have ever had Chow Mein and that the information that turned up in my Google search was incorrect. Given that their version is so different, in my opinion it seems that providing a description or a picture would be the right thing to do for future customers. Although this was quite frustrating, the rest of the food was good so I am giving it 2 stars overall. On a side note, Trader Joe's Chicken Chow Mein is amazing and highly recommended! Jacky Chen's Chow Mein is a 1 star dish in comparison.
