Conversely, another customer had a very positive experience. They enjoyed a variety of dishes, including vegetable wonton soup, house special fried rice, egg roll, dim sum, boneless spareribs, pan-fried vegetable wonton, and sushi rolls, describing them all as delicious. This reviewer also praised the pleasant waiter, ample parking, and perfect martinis from the bar, recommending Jac Mao as a great sit-down Chinese food option in Staten Island.

Given these differing opinions, it's advisable to consider both perspectives when thinking about dining at or ordering from Jac Mao. The positive review highlights a potentially enjoyable experience with a wide selection of dishes and good service, while the negative review raises concerns about food quality and service consistency.

We ordered a soup and it tasted really bad an old. We didn't even finish eating it after 2 spoons. Second, the person serving didn't even ask us why we didn't eat it. The waiter just took the soup upset we didn't eat it. Then he gave us a plate that had grease on it and dirty. No apologies or anything. The waiter just said here take this plate. When a person goes out for dinner to a restaurant the minimum people expect is decent service, the food and service were horrible. Hopefully, they change their ways. It's not free we paying for the food.

I started with vegetable wonton soup. We were served plenty of (2 servings) of crispy noodles w/mustard & duck sauce. House special fried rice (w/shrimp,chicken,beef). Egg roll, Dim Sim, boneless spareribs, pan fried vegetable wonton, and a few sushi rolls. All delicious! Not rushed. Waiter was pleasant. Plenty of parking. Martinis🍸🍸 from the bar were also perfect👌. Great sit down chinese food dinner I'm Staten Island.

I cannot express how much I loved this food. The food was QUALITY! I travel all throughout the US for work. I've been to many Chinese restaurants and this was one of the BEST I've been to. The food was amazing, the egg rolls were phenomenal! Huge egg rolls! I've never had egg rolls like these! And fresh! The sesame chicken was ACTUAL chicken. Like huge chunks of chicken breast, I was so happy eating my food. Also, I had take out and I have NEVER seen any takeout food packaged so professionally and made to feel so fancy like this was packaged. Every detail was appreciated, from the customer service on the phone for my order, the packaging, the cooking of the food, all of it. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again. By the way, prices were really good for the area, another place tried to charge $20 for a combination platter and here it was around $12 to $15. Much better pricing and you definitely get your money's worth here. God Bless you guys, Shalom! Ps. Sorry about the photos, it was so good I forgot to take more of them! :) Oh and that's an egg roll!

Food was OK. Not the best Chinese I’ve had. Had zero taste and didn’t taste fresh. I don’t know. I’ve always heard they’re the best on Staten Island. Maybe I caught them on a bad day.

Our first time visiting. Nicely decorated big open room. The staff and owner super personable. The food was absolutely fantastic. We got the ribs, general tsao, beef with broccoli and young chow fried rice. I can't wait to go back to try more things!
