About Iron Chef

Iron Chef is a Chinese restaurant located at 435 Newbury St # 107 in Danvers, MA 01923, USA. As a local Chinese restaurant, Iron Chef offers both takeout and dine-in options for the community in Danvers and surrounding areas. You can contact them to place an order or inquire about their menu by calling (978) 777-7888 or using their mobile number +1 978-777-7888. For local users seeking a Chinese restaurant that offers convenience and a variety of dishes, Iron Chef presents itself as a potential choice.

To provide a detailed introduction to Iron Chef, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by recent customers. One reviewer had a positive experience, specifically highlighting the "great" portion sizes offered. They also praised the Hot and Sour soup, describing it as "so flavorful" with "the perfect level of spice." Additionally, this customer enjoyed the "great fresh tuna and such I rice," indicating satisfaction with the quality of these particular dishes. The service received was described as "professional and friendly," suggesting a positive interaction with the staff.

Another customer who dined in at Iron Chef noted that "the place is small," providing insight into the restaurant's physical environment. Despite its size, this reviewer found the service to be "good" during their dine-in experience, aligning with the positive service feedback from the takeout customer.

However, not all experiences have been entirely positive. A customer who ordered takeout shared mixed feedback. They found the "tender beef" to be "very chewy and not tender at all," indicating an issue with the preparation or quality of this particular dish. While they noted that "the sauce was good," the texture of the beef was a significant drawback. On a more positive note, this reviewer found the "orange chicken" to be "delicious." However, they also mentioned encountering a quality control issue, stating that on "multiple bites," they bit into a "very bitter piece of orange peel which tainted the flavor." Despite these issues, this customer expressed an intention to return due to the restaurant's convenience and generally good reputation, but they indicated they would avoid the problematic dishes in the future. This suggests a degree of inconsistency in the food quality, with some dishes being well-received while others fall short.

Based on these reviews, Iron Chef appears to be a relatively small Chinese restaurant in Danvers that offers both takeout and dine-in services. A key feature highlighted by a customer is the generous portion sizes, which can be a significant draw for those seeking value for their money. The Hot and Sour soup and certain dishes like those containing tuna were also noted for their flavor and freshness.

Regarding the environment, one reviewer mentioned that the place is "small," which might be a consideration for customers planning to dine in, especially during peak hours. However, another customer who dined in found the service to be good, suggesting that the size of the establishment does not necessarily detract from the quality of service received when eating at the restaurant.

The service at Iron Chef seems to be generally well-regarded, with descriptions of both "professional and friendly" service for takeout and "good" service for dine-in customers. This indicates a focus on customer interaction and satisfaction.

However, the mixed feedback on food quality is an important point to consider. While some dishes, like the Hot and Sour soup and potentially seafood options, are praised, there have been issues reported with the tenderness of beef and the presence of bitter orange peel in the orange chicken. This suggests that the quality and consistency might vary across different items on the menu.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. Details about any discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs at Iron Chef are not mentioned in the customer reviews. To learn about any potential promotions, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers.

In conclusion, Iron Chef in Danvers, MA, is a local Chinese restaurant offering both takeout and dine-in options. Customers have praised the generous portion sizes and the flavorful Hot and Sour soup. The service has generally been described as professional, friendly, and good. However, there have been reports of inconsistencies in food quality, specifically regarding the tenderness of beef and issues with the preparation of the orange chicken. The restaurant itself is noted to be small. For local users, Iron Chef offers convenience and a menu with potentially well-received dishes, but it might be wise to be aware of the reported inconsistencies in food quality and perhaps inquire about the preparation of specific dishes when ordering. To find out about any current promotions, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

The place is small, but the one time I ate in, the service was good. I ordered takeout tonight, and the tender beef was very chewy and not tender at all. The sauce was good, though. The orange chicken was delicious, but on multiple bites, I bit into a very bitter piece of orange peel which tainted the flavor. I will be back, because it is convenient and normally good, but I will avoid these dishes in the future.

We’re visiting from Miami and we ordered wings, shrimp fried rice, crab ragoon, beef and broccoli, and white rice. Everything came up to $72.00 + $5.00 tip and the only thing that edible was the crab ragoon. There is nothing “Iron Chef” about the food. I could honestly say it was a waste of money. Rice was trash, wings was trash, and the beef and broccoli was trash. Just all around disappointed. For $72.00 we for sure expected more. If I was able to give 0 stars I would. 😩😤🤮

Very impressed with the food! Decided to stop here on the way back home to Maine after searching for Chinese food on Google Maps. I’m glad we did! Got Lo Mein, Fried Rice, General Gau’s, egg rolls and a sushi roll. The food was very, very fresh and flavorful! Even the vegetables in the friend rice were plump and not overcooked which was impressive. Much better than many other Asian food places we have been to recently. Would absolutely go back.

I had the hot and sour soup it was excellent and very fast delivery to the table I also ordered a 16 piece chef sushi sampler that was also excellent and pretty quick. I had more than enough to eat for the price and the amount of sushi they got me. I would highly recommend this place.
