Situated at 22833 Bothell Everett Hwy, Bothell, WA 98021, USA, Imperial Wok operates as a classic "mom and pop" restaurant, often characterized by its home-style cooking, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This type of establishment frequently fosters a sense of community and offers a more personal touch compared to larger chains.
Based on the feedback from local patrons, Imperial Wok has garnered positive attention for the quality and value of its dishes. One recurring theme in customer reviews is the "excellent food" served at this Bothell eatery. Diners consistently highlight the satisfying taste and the use of quality ingredients in their meals. This positive sentiment underscores Imperial Wok's dedication to culinary excellence within the local Chinese food scene.
A significant aspect of the Imperial Wok experience, as noted by reviewers, is the generous portion sizes. Customers appreciate receiving ample servings of their chosen dishes, ensuring that they leave feeling well-fed and satisfied. This value proposition, where quality meets quantity, is a key draw for many local diners seeking a fulfilling meal without breaking the bank.
The pricing at Imperial Wok is also frequently mentioned as being "fair," further enhancing its appeal to budget-conscious customers. The combination of delicious food, large portions, and reasonable prices positions Imperial Wok as an attractive option for individuals and families looking for a reliable and affordable Chinese dining experience in Bothell.
Specific dishes at Imperial Wok have received high praise from reviewers. The fried crabmeat rangoons are consistently recommended as a must-try appetizer. These crispy wonton pockets filled with a creamy crab and cheese mixture are a popular starter that sets the stage for a satisfying meal. Another standout dish is the orange chicken, a classic Chinese-American favorite featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a sweet and tangy orange-flavored sauce, typically served with rice. The recommendation of these specific items suggests that Imperial Wok excels in both familiar and perhaps some unique offerings.
Beyond these highlighted dishes, customers have also enjoyed other items on the menu. The prawn egg foo young, a savory omelet dish with shrimp, and the prawn with vegetables, a lighter and potentially more health-conscious option, have both been positively reviewed. The inclusion of these diverse dishes indicates a menu that caters to a variety of tastes and preferences, from rich and flavorful to fresh and wholesome.
The soups at Imperial Wok have also received accolades. Both the wonton soup, featuring delicate dumplings in a flavorful broth, and the hot & sour soup, known for its spicy and tangy profile, have been described as "wonderful." These soups serve as comforting and flavorful accompaniments to the main courses, rounding out a complete and satisfying meal.
While the overall experience at Imperial Wok is overwhelmingly positive, one minor concern mentioned by a reviewer is that the restaurant can sometimes be "a bit hot." This feedback pertains to the indoor environment and suggests that the ventilation or temperature control might occasionally be less than ideal. However, this single point of discomfort appears to be outweighed by the positive aspects of the food and service, as the reviewer still highly recommends the restaurant.
The fact that Imperial Wok is described as a "mom and pop restaurant" often implies a certain level of personal care and attention to detail in both the food preparation and customer service. These family-owned establishments are frequently deeply rooted in their local communities and strive to build lasting relationships with their patrons. Excellent food, big portions, and a fair price. Imperial Wok is a great mom and pop restaurant in Bothell. I'd recommend the fried crabmeat rangoons and the orange chicken which comes with rice. My only complaint is the restaurant can be a bit hot.
We ordered Prawn Egg Foo Young, Prawn with Vegetables and Sweet and Sour Pork. The Wonton and Hot & Sour Soups were wonderful.
We ordered the Honey Walnut Prawns/Shrimp $17.99 in a delicious creamy sweet white sauce (kind of like a condensed milk taste but thinner) but just the right sauce thicknesst to stick to the Prawns /Shrimp with a hint of lemon 🍋? 😋 pineapple 🍍 pieces in the sauce nice touch on your taste buds. Exactly what we hoped it would taste like, comes with a cup of steam white rice 🍚, but we paid a little extra $2 for fried rice cup, very clean pork fried rice just a healthier variation vs the brown color fried rice, no soy sauce added. What a treat 😋 healthy not heavy. Totally delicious and worth the money 💰 our 1st time there today, and definitely will go back for the same thing when we have that craving or try something new too, honey walnut shrimp is our favorite dish and we like to see who can make the best. Compared to Tulalips Casino Journeys Restaurant which we only go to for the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Until now the Imperial Wok has exactly the same taste we were looking for, they exceeded our expectations tonight with take out. Definitely try YOUR favorite dish you usually order else where and see IF it meets your expectations. You just might make it your new go to spot, very friendly what a wonderful experience. Highly recommend 👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on taste experience that we were craving 😋 she nailed it 💯💫 on time. Thank you again
I ordered several dishes for a party of five. The Shrimp fried rice was pale and only had 5 shrimp in it. The Chicken Lo Mein had a ton of noodles and little to no vegetables and chicken. The Egg Rolls were actually spring rolls. The gravy/sauce for the Egg Foo Young patties was a yellow corn starch chicken gravy. The Egg Foo Young patties were pre-formed and frozen. I spent $120 for a very disappointing meal.
Wonderful combination of ingredients and cooked just right. Our family really enjoyed the meal.
