Ichiban Ramen and Sushi Bar

I often pass by this place while at work and finally got the chance to eat here with my wife. The ramen, pork buns, and sushi were great, flavorful, and the portions were large. They got slammed right at opening by a large group, but made it work with the owner and the waitress hosting everyone. It’s a great restaurant that stole us away from Ton Ton Ramen at Ponce City Market.

My new favorite place. I’ve had three varieties of their Ramen Noodles and have been impressed each time. The coworkers that joined me for lunch ordered Chow Mein and the Rice Bowl. They were impressed with the portion size, freshness, and flavor. Food made it to the table pretty fast. Everything seems reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food (they both took home a to-go box after eating till they were full).

I’m only giving this place a 3 because all my food was very heavy on the salt. I ordered the chicken rice bowl which comes with soup and salad. The serving size was big but unfortunately the sauce that was placed in a pool on the bottom of my plate was very salty. Also, the house soup was very salty as well. I went for “ME” time and was not impressed with the food. I let the waitress know that the food was very salty but nothing was really done so hopefully they adjust the amount they use. Atmosphere: I do love the one wall with all the decorations but feel as though they could amp it up a little. I wanted to be given the option to sit at the bar since I was by myself but was placed in a big booth for families. I will return again and try the ramen and sushi next time but as far as this visit. They really need to be lighter on the salt content.

First time here. To be completely transparent and honest, I think for those that live in Covington and are not used to having an Asian place to go to for traditional foods like Ramen and such, it's going to be to them absolutely the most delicious thing ever. But when you've gone to many restaurants that specialize in this kind of thing in Duluth, Buford Hwy Atlanta, etc...it really is just ok in comparison. But as long as my kids liked their meals, I was happy. The staff was nice & friendly. Good service. Atmosphere is cute and cozy, but I think their AC was broken or something. It was so hot in there and the only thing to keep everyone cool was this fan in the center of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I ordered spicy ramen and that made the heat in there feel even worse. Overall, it was a good experience for that area of town, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back again.

We got the sexy roll, the beef Chinese bowl, and a pork ramen bowl. The service at the door was quick and super friendly. The waitress, Kriezia, was super helpful, attentive and fast. The food was delicious and hot. I highly recommend this place. Also, the cherry on top was the music wasn’t super loud, it was a nice subtle volume.
