Ichiban

First time at their new location. Great cheap sushi. We got their cheese corn and egg rolls to start, and then some miscellaneous sushi. Server was super nice, food came out fast. It was clean but I will say the hallway going to the bathroom reeked so that was a little concerning, but good for a cheap quick bite.

The restaurant has great potential. Good food at a reasonable price in today's criminally inflated dining industry. The decor inside is cool. But the service needs improvement and when you order tea they dont charge for the pot but for each cup used! This place has huge potential but needs to make some changes.

We waited and waited at the front desk and no one came. Very frustrating - never experienced that before. We left and went to another Korean restaurant which had much better service and where we actually got sat.

I should have written this review a long time ago. They are closed now due to remodeling, tried to go tonight but instead had to try a different sushi place and was very much so let down. Ichiban sushi is the best around for the price, and the staff has always been great when I go. It’s fast, inexpensive and tasty. I can’t wait to see them open their doors again soon.

Good to great Sushi and other Asian cuisine is pretty much available anywhere... what we really look for is good service. Good to great service is very rare and can often make up for average food. Upon entering Ichiban Sushi we were NOT greeted promptly even though they weren't busy. There were 3 sushi chefs yet only one waitress at five minutes after noon on Thursday 3/8/18. After a minute of standing around, wondering if we seat ourselves or wait, a young man did come seat us. He immediately took our drink order and returned with them promptly. I wish I could say the experience after that was positive, but, unfortunately I cannot. There were three tables with people seated and one waitress. We waited 15 minutes to order, but we were never approached again. We assumed the other people had already been served, and were astonished when they finally had their order taken! They were there before us so who knows how ling they were waiting. We assumed that after taking their order she would take ours. No. She disappeared into the back. We then left and went to Water Moon sushi in Draper. Perfect dining experience! I'm writing this while relaxing after eating great food and experiencing awesome service. But while reading these reviews on Ichiban, we discovered you had recently reopened after being forced to shut down with 30 health violations! The owner had responded to another reviewer saying they had addressed the issues... to that I say they were only addressed because you got caught. If you hadn't been caught, you'd still have RAW SEWAGE on the floors, food being stored in a broken walk-in at 46 degrees, and 28 OTHER VIOLATIONS! Do you not understand that people don't care if you fixed the problem, we care that YOU allowed conditions to be so disgusting without addressing them. We have no faith in your ability to provide quality food in a safe manner without being forced to by the health department! We will NEVER be back. One star is too many. Ron and Terri Lynch
