HUPO琥珀 | Best Szechuan Food in LIC

First time here, and I came here on a very chilly night, looking for some warm soup dishes, and this restaurant did not disappoint! Ordered the pork soup dumplings as an appetizer, and it came with 4, which was perfect for me and my gf, but I could have eaten more! We ordered the slice beef in golden soup and the classic beef noodle soup. The golden soup was huge and flavorful, with some spiciness to warm you up right away and large enough for delicious leftovers the next day. Beef noodle soup had a large chunks of beef with tendon, which I love. Will definitely be returning to try the other dishes!

Was recommended this place by a friend. Normally I go to birds of a feather but I must say this place was a welcomed surprise! Excellent quality and portions in their food, service is friendly and on top of it. The scallion pancakes were excellent. Go with lots of friends so you can order a nice assortment! Bravo Hupo! I’ll be back!

Wow, the food was so frickin’ good. Made a reservation for me and two friends. Staff was so helpful and made ordering super easy. We ordered several dishes to share family style. App: Soup dumplings Mains: Stewed Fish Filet in Hot Chili Soup (I’ve been craving those hardcore and it did not disappoint) Stir fry Green beans with Bamboo Shoots (my personal fave) Double Cooked Pork (fave for me friends) Dessert: Green tea ice cream with sprinkles (just delightful) Before we started, we each popped an edible. As each dish came out we were more and more amazed. The flavors were bomb and textures so satisfying! By the time dessert came, we were in absolute bliss. Honestly, decently priced for the portions. We loved our experience. I highly recommend.

I order takeaway from here about once a week. The spicy fried chicken and the soup dumplings is probably my favorite meal in the entire world. The chicken is a big enough portion for two meals for me. Always arrives quick and food is hot

We tried this place while visiting the area. It seemed to have missed the mark pretty bad. The girl working in the front was not very welcoming first of all. On to the food, scallion pancake was below average, not even as good as the store bought, the soup dumplings were the worst. The pork was still raw and cold inside. Gross! The dry pot was missing the flavors of the spices. The tofu was okay. The drink was alright but it tastes of poor quality of alcohol. Interior was nice but everything else was a disappointment

Always good experience at Hupo! We have been regular at this joint in the past few years since they opened in LIC. Food has been consistently good and flavorful. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for some solid Szechuan style food in LIC!

Ordered beed and broccoli. You pay $21 + tax for literally 5 pieces of beef. It tastes ok.
